I hope XF gets nerf enough to well it still is not Overpowered.
My gut tells me XF will be nerf but it won’t be enough.
The XF system turned the game to unbalanced hell IMO lol. Beating two characters from two guesses is some complete BS there.
The XF system made some characters unviable since they weren’t as strong during XF.
While DP was one of the most broken characters in Capcom history when XF.
No way they’re going to leave Strider like this. He’s getting way too much damage for too little effort. They got his concept down, but I don’t like him doing so much damage with his abc 123 combo. There’s no point in balancing wolvie if they’re going to have this version of Strider running around.
With the new games they don’t wanna do anything that alienates casual players from the vets. They want it so if a casual player ever wants to step up and be competitive that they don’t have to change any rules of the game or anything like that like Smash players have to. You just decide to be a better player and go to tournaments and that’s it. XF makes it so there’s something to do when you get your ass beat but hopefully the tone down will like Seth Killlian said make the matches last longer and be less random.
Most of why anybody is retarded in this game pretty much goes back to how retarded XF is yeah.

The only Hawkeye arrows I recall are: poison, net, electric, ice, and explosive. I’m sure there are more but I have no idea how to do them yet.
I also forgot to mention that She-Hulk’s dropkick super moves forward a bit in a slight arc, making it a bit easier to combo into.

To be fair, MODOK has the capacity to be at least Doom tier if fully realized. It’s just why play such a finger-breaking character when you can just play Doom? I mean, Doom isn’t a baby character either, but he’s no where near as execution-demanding as MODOK.
also lets all hope we have some good balance patches. Not too much but fix the broken glitches and super OP characters.
Announcer on Unity stream was like “Phoenix is awful now”.
I don’t know who that announcer is or how good he is at the game so take it with a grain of salt. Hopefully there will still be reasons to pick her.

Yeah XF says her from being trash. Even DP isnt good without it imo. Once that XF runs out. Spybreak theme comes on for the other player. Hey I was thinking about how some sucky characters like Thor, Modok or Skrull would benefit from air-xfactor though. Skrull could easily become the best assist killer in the game. 2 Infernos could easily kill any character. His supers as I recall did even more damage than Dormammu’s. One of the things that stopped super skrull from being good is him not being to connect his supers into another one exp million dollar into million dollar. Especially already solid characters like Trish, Deadpool, or
Taskmaster could easily up their keepaway game. Very Scary on paper.
Well at least put an off and on switch in the game then for XF. One thing i loved about Melee was it was the perfect example of a game that pros and casuals could really both enjoy a lot.
I honestly think XF is the biggest problem in Marvel. It allows you to do insane damage, it turns everything into a CKC, it allows characters perform way faster, perform infinites, not to mention it’s a heal move for your entire team, it eliminates chip damage, and can cancel block stun among other things. It literally allows one person to beat an entire team in less than 15 seconds which just shouldn’t be possible. It’s the only reason Wolvie and Dark P are top tier. It’s obviously broken.
I really think we should create a petition that addresses reforming X-Factor. Capcom knows it’s a problem, they know we don’t like it, but I don’t think they know how bad it is. Reforming X-Factor is probably the only thing everyone on this forum could agree on regarding changes Marvel needs.

I like to think that the 1000s of signatures SRK got for Darkstalkers 4 was a factor regarding the news we got today. Same could be said about P Wright and Strider. XF is broken, it’s a problem for the reasons I mentioned and more.
Hm Yikes :S Tbh I hope even the hammer isn’t nerfed to badly, since thats really his only true invincible move as far as I know and now a bigg part of his game. Gonna get harder to hit peepz lol, and if its nerfed to bad Idk what the replacement will be. Someone said its the berserker slash, which is exactly correct and it is a huge part of Wolverines game (Now nerfed so idk what hes gonna do now) but eh, I’m no pro, and Im sure the hammers still useful (Hopefully it doesn’t screw up current combos due to maybe it being slower).
The funny thing is I can find a lot of people that would agree that removing XF wouldn’t be the best idea overall for the game or the community. Some of those people are probably even people who can’t stand the system. As long as level 1 XF can’t run through 2 people and level 2 and 3 XF’s can’t run through whole teams I’ll be fine. Capcom is basically trying to fix what you’re worried about without actually removing the system so we’ll see what happens.

Honestly, I had the most fun playing with Hawkeye than the other new characters. His ranged game is awesome and he’s absolutely hilarious in that wiseass type of tone. Comboing into his level 3 is very satisfying.
I like the 12 characters that were announced, other than Hawkeye, but am I the only one disappointed to not hear of Asura from Asura’s Wrath? Especially after the official MvC3 facebook page hinted at it
