UMvC3 List of C. Viper Changes

Nope, I meant BK. BK assist is great for helping characters who can self-OTG relaunch as it has a ton of untech time. Ghost Rider already has the self OTG, so all he needs is a bit of time. BK assist gives him that time in addition to setting up the unblockables.

Ahh I see, good stuff. I don’t use BK as an assist too often so I’m clueless to some of It’s properties.

Since capcom wants to buff Viper, I have two suggestions:

  1. Flight mode. Someone recently pointed out to me that there was an SF4 anime, and Viper could fly in that. So I want to fly in Marvel.
    2)Make Focus count as a special move.

If Capcom truly has consumed enough crack to want to buff Viper (This is not serious obviously.)

Decrease start up and increase recovery on seismic hammer.

Marvel 2 Sentinel style 214AB for flight mode, fast fly, replace burst time input with 421A+B. Counts as normal jump state.

Give 2C dramatically less start up and stronger AA hit box.

Replace Full Throttle with a level 3 that grants her access to infinite EX moves for 6 seconds.

If they made Viper that stupid, I’d have to play her lol.

I like the last buff you listed Chrisis. Just imagine if Viper had genei jin haha. that would be so broken

Yea thers an sf4 anime it came with my copy of sf4 for pc. Vipers boots let her fly. Its pretty cool

Think about that last one I suggested. If Focus was a special, we could cancel any move into it… which means we could dash cancel all our normals. 2B>FADC>2B for infinite blockstring.

Indeed it would mean that. On a serious note making her feints recover more quickly would be a sane type of buff that would give her fun new options. How fast is the quickest focus into the first cancellable frame of dash? Is it faster than fierce TK feint by a significant margin? That thing starts its feint incredibly fast but has recovery afterward. =/

I don’t know exactly, but if you just do a naked focus>dash it doesn’t look any different than a normal dash in terms of speed… lol.

On a more serious note, I understand that hitstun scaling is up across the board, and this could effect Viper combo’s quite heavily.

Viper should be able to s.jump cancel her normals like in sf4 and similar to how Dr.doom can dash cancel his…

Not sure if it would be a huge buff, but it would open up new combo possibilities and Viper would also be able to sj cancel normals into focus attacks

That would be a definite broken buff. I would absolutely destroy and abuse that mechanic. That means you could do what I showed in the video that was recently posted on eventhubs except for with normals instead of FADC off a seismo. The only reason they gave it to Doom is because he can’t cancel his dash into a block otherwise he could do rapid heavy normals all day. For example you could do cr.M FADC cr.M or cr.M SJC instant overhead jumping heavy kick which works pretty well on crouching opponents. and then I would be able to chain nothing but st.H hits in ground combos. Yeah Broken. lol

Here’s a teensy tweak i would enjoy. Change Viper’s 6B to 6C and make it gattling like every other characters 6C would.

Give Viper a flight mode. I’ll pay 50$ Extra just to get this as a DLC add-on.(I know your reading this Capcom!)

That would be absolutely amazing if that happened. Though with how easy it is to just combo into Seismo, they may not do this. But SJ cancelling TK could be very helpful.

Regardless, a really nice idea.

Does capcom really want to buff viper? Other than the beam(which could be useless), did they give her anything else?
Anyway if she needs to be buffed…Increased throw range maybe? Would that break her?
By the way, how do u guys feel about the throw system in general in marvel?

Oh yeah, off topic, but…@FlyingVe, do you mind if i steal your av? Viper is slowly but surely approaching “fav char of all time” status, and that is the prettiest picture i have ever seen of her. I stare at it for a few seconds every time i see one of your posts.

I want Viper to have a Back+Heavy move where she uses her anti-air hook kick from SF4. And let it be a soft ground bounce. Non cancelable into other moves. Maybe can be canceled to BK. Whiffs crouching opponents. Relatively quick 1 to 2 frames longer than her first hit of launcher. Thoughts?

That sounds like a sane reasonable tool to give her, AKA Capcom would never do it!

That would be fun. I like the idea of giving her more toys, I just shy away from outright buffs.

On a related note, tightening up the feint input window would be nice. I’m tied of getting EX BK and EX Seismos at times where I didn’t want them because I’m moving too fast.

If you play online that is just online. There are pre frames during every strength of burning kick where you have to wait before feint. I don’t mind the feint windows right now. my only problem with viper and her execution is freeze frame of random hypers. I’ll be doing a BK in the air and intend to feint. Here comes random Hyper. The timing for the cancel is horrible and impossible to predict where the button needs to be pressed. Either nothing will happen and i eat a beam laser or i cancel a BK into an EX.BK. I’m thinking about just wasting a meter with Viper and roll the EX.BK then feint that from now on since freeze frame is so unforgiving for viper. Same thing goes for seismo spamming on the ground and then you get freeze frame from random super and you want to Emergency combination. If i have 3 levels since I had placed a forward input before hand if i do QCF ATK+ATK my level 3 comes out.
