I hate to say it…But dear god, I think Frank is the derpiest newcomer by a large margin. I hate to say that in a game with Vergil, but seriously, does anyone do anything with him other than Divedivedive rollrollroll? I miss TvC Frank, he was more fun to play and was far less n00b friendly.

Does TvC Frank do anything other than Summon Zombie rollrollroll? If Frank in this game is so derp then why the heck is most of the Frank I see getting pwned left and right?

Family and friends came over, and some of us had a UMVC3 tournament.
Of course, it was all in fun, but it was a really great time.

Also, some of the better players (cousins,soon to be brother and law) played a drinking game where they they chugged some heineken everytime Sent/Wesker was on a team.

lawl, according to fiance her brother had work in the morning and was causing the biggest shitstorm of our time. Cousin was drunk out his mind though. All in all, a good thanksgiving.

Wow, just fought the most bullshit bunch of online matches. Wesker F+H teleport j.H while calling Iron man and Taskmaster, no attempts to combo, literally that the whole time. Shit was beyond broken, try to stand up to do anything, you get shot in the face. Blocking wasn’t the hard part, it was trying to find some way of attacking him between his BS. Eventually I just switched to Wolverine/Sent/Haggar and destroyed him multiple times but I’m pissed off how free I was to that tactic.

I’m constantly embarrassed by how much I get hit by Air Trick -> j.S and Wesker’s bullet spam into teleport. Why can’t Dante shout “BEWARE!” before he disappears?

I don’t understand why people are complaining about noob friendly characters in Marvel 3 of all things. This game was designed from the ground up to be easy to play.

If that was really their goal, they failed terribly. With all the crazy stuff thrown at you in this game, it really isn’t easy to get used to just staying alive.

Been using RR/Dorm/Doom a lot, I’m far from great but I love this team for heavy zoning and covering myself when I want to get in. Doom is also pretty amazing at staying in, Dorm can make his own openings and Doom assists really help make openings for RR.

Only thing that makes me salty online is when I die because I go Quick kick > Chi instead of quick kick > lotus whip =/ Kinda wish those inputs were :atk::s: instead of :dp::atk:

My friend’s little sister wanted to play with us once. We obliged. She wanted to play Tron. We taught her an ABC combo. She pulled it off first try. Such a heartwarming experience for such a young one.

(Not refuting you or anything. Just telling a stupid story. The weird thing is that she kind of looks like Tron.)

The hard thing in this game is learning how to deal with all of the bullshit, I think.

Hey, Nemmy’s trenchcoat is practical! It keeps all of his tentacles nice and controllable. Dante, Vergil, and Wesker just have dated taste.

Am I the only one who doesn’t care if Wright turns out ass? Honestly, I know he’s bad, but I like using the guy so it doesn’t bother me so much. As long as the team has good synegy, I could care less.

I don’t know, been always this way, I just go with the characters I enjoy using and make a team around them lol.

If Wright was ass with a better character design, I’d be cool with rocking him. I love the guy. I really do. But the whole evidence-gathering aspect of him is just a bad idea, to the point where it makes me angry that the dev team designed him to be that way.

He’s only got one Low attack (two in Lv2), one very slow overhead on the ground, and has a real hard time dealing with any enemy that uses a beam. It’s also not until he gets to Lv3 that his Survival Techniques hyper can be used to actually punish. His roll has some creative potential, but that’s really about the best thing about him until he gets to Lv4.

To make Frank really useful, you’d need to play him creatively - specifically with fake outs using the Roll and the Roundhouse. Until you get to Lv4 anyway, then you can just go crazy.
