My friend rocked Skrull/Dorm/Tron in Vanilla, and he had a lot of success. I personally think you should go Dante, but if you don’t Skrull would be my 2nd choice. Viper is probably the strongest character there, though. Zero is hella good too.

DMC2 Dante was awesome. Like Batman, but with a sword. Don’t hate.
Teams mostly consist of Virgil, Dante, and whoever the hell else. Main team right now is Nova/Virgil/Dante. Confident enough to do Rank Bats now. Nova is awesome.
Yeah, I’ve had a feeling that Japanese people see their VA’s as equally annoying/goofy as we see English ones. It’s all perspective and not knowing what inflections and the like make a voice irritating or not, I suppose.
Whoa there. No one’s saying that when Thor’s around. If you somehow finish the whole taunt, I’ll let you win the match. Or maybe I’ll just let you finish taunting and then continue the match.
…its not really a taunt. Its a meter building move. If you do it at the end of the game they cut you off, like if Felicia does her meter building move. not so with actual long taunts like Nemesis/Iron Fist.
Oh and if Dan was in this game I’d Legendary taunt everytime I won. Boy, bet that would get annoying fast. Oh well

That is pretty genius, I gotta say.
MODOK’s combos are so fun. I just started learning him today, and he’s a refreshing break from “GRAH GRAH GRAH GRAH”. The best part is how damn customizable his combos are; even his basic BnB can be expanded with all sorts of little tricks, and he’s only limited by your execution and his wonky movement.
DMC2 Dante was actually my favourite in terms of design. As for personality… I dunno. Missed my wisecrackin’, ‘rockstar with a sword’ Dante.
Has anyone actually seen the new gameplay footage for the new DmC game?
After watching that I think that the new game is actually looking GASP! pretty good SHOCK HORROR!
And this is coming from a guy who hasn’t even played a Devil may Cry game

I was actually impressed with the gameplay, actually. and I dunno if you know this, but I’ve played a DMC game or two. Still…weary of it, but it looks interesting. Than again, I’m a blind, deluded DMC fanboy.
Well a character can’t stay that “rockstar” type the whole time. When they get older, they just develop a colder attitude. It happens.
I dunno… Dante was beyond cold in DMC2. He barely even spoke or anything. Seemed like he was devoid of personality. Also, don’t necessarily think older=colder. I mean, I could maaaaaaybe see if he was like, pushing 60’s or something. Y’know, “You young whippersnappers!!” phase.
