I’m sorry if it seems like I was bitching, that wasn’t my intention. I’ve also tried to find practical applications for it but haven’t had too much luck. XFC out of guard stun and LV3 when blocking multi hit supers is pretty good. It can also make people either use a lot of meter or burn X-factor early, which is kinda nice but still usually feels like a waste of meter :/. This isn’t the right thread for it but I’d love to know what kind of set ups people have with the LV3.
i will never forgive you
I might be the only one, but one little thing i’d like to see fixed is that so Deadpool can actually combo off of a ground throw on M.O.D.O.K., let’s say if i grab him and send him into the corner, he’d get up pretty much immediately whereas if i do it on everyone else, i can go OTG Katana-Rama on them and continue my combo.
I mostly try air-throws and all that if i decide to grab, but this was just one small thing that bothered me a little.
This is EXACTLY why i said they should change his cuurrent lvl3 super to a lvl 1, and change cutting time to his level 3 super. DHC is gone, so having cutting time as the lvl3 will allow for a person to do great damage while finishing a combo, and obviously since it’d be lvl 3, they’d get the full damage output each time. they’d just have to give it more invincibility, and higher damage (350-440 would be good enough).
and 4th wall super, would be reduced in damage to around the same damage that taskmaster’s counter super does. IF they lengthened the time an opponent is in a hard knock down for a few more frames it would allow for easier follow-up combos too (but it wouldn’t be totally necessary in reality).
Please, anything but this. I DHC from Gamma Crush into Cutting Time constantly, as it puts simple Hulk combos into 1,000,000+ range and is a superior alternative to Happy Trigger.
There really isn’t much wrong with the LVL3 counter, anyway. I admit three bars is a lot for the damage it does, but you can still do a combo afterwards and rack up more damage to make it almost worth it whenever you aren’t just trolling. Compared to Taskmaster’s counter it actually seems a bit better, it’s just that Wesker has a stupid-good counter-hyper that makes the other two look retarded.
Besides, it’s Deadpool, and when you go for Level 3 you’re often just trolling the fuck out of someone or being as annoying as possible, anyway. It makes landing the counter that much sweeter when it’s like a once-a-match chance.
In line for the LA Fight Club, I’ll be testing if he cancel blocked Quick Work into Teleport. If he can, that’ll open up a lot of offensive options.
Fantastic. Hope you can learn all kinds of interesting things about Wade in Ultimate.
I’ve just read on Eventhubs that Wade can cancel both Trigger Happy and Quick Work into a Teleport on hit and on block. Really looking forward to the new Deadpool.
i’m surprised more people aren’t excited about deadpools new abilities. he’s gonna be a natural counter to a lot of characters, in addition to having some more damaging options.
Well, I think he’s already a natural counter to a lot of characters (basically anyone big). He’s just overshadowed by other characters like Wesker and Tasky at the moment.
Didn’t know about quick work but the standing guns into teleport works.
wow he’s getting less recovery on trigger happy and he can teleport off it that’s super gdlk lovin’ the new deadpool BTW for anyone thats a zoner like me, dante jam session assist is prolly best with zoning as it creates a giant fucking wall in the middle of the screen. the new deadpool is going to be my main forever now also i believe they’ve added more bullets into trigger happy but not increase or decrease the time the move actually takes. The additional bullets are just for scaling purposes
Does this mean I can now do overhead xx quick work xx teleport cr. l xx overhead xx quick work xx teleport cr. l xx overhead xx quick work?
How on Earth do you block that?
Overhead low crossup low overhead low crossup low overhead low.
He probably can as that looks like a good way to mixup your opponent up plus Teleport but I don’t think i’ve seen a Deadpool player try this yet, so i might be a bit behind.
I think it will really help his zoning game more for me cause if I choose to play keepout, I can just shoot guns until someone gets close to me which is when I just Teleport to the other side, then I basically do that over and over til I know the third time he teleports it will malfunction.
If his teleport didn’t malfunction, he would be the most annoying character in the game.
BAMF BAMF BAMF BAMF BAMF BAMF STING, DON’T IT!?!!?
He may already be the most annoying.
He’s definitely the most annoying to some people, just not by how he plays. I have friends who will intentionally burn X-Factor every game just to murder Deadpool the first time they hit him so he’ll shut the fuck up.
Anyway, Deadpool with a “working” teleport would be insaaaanely good. His teleport is already really nice, if you could chain 'em together like Dormammu’s…oh MAN. Still, I enjoy the wackiness of the 1/3 falfunction.
Deadpool’s teleport would be OP if it never malfunctioned, since it’s so fast. I prefer that, actually - I’d rather have a lighting fast teleport with limited uses over a slower teleport without.
Fast? How is his teleport fast…its not even Dante or Phoenix level, and I doubt he would be broken. Dante and other characters with teleports that never malfunction have a ton more options after teleporting than Deadpool does. Not to mention their teleports track the enemy where as Deadpools only go to a certain distance ON THE GROUND. Startup on teleport (which I have been hit out of A LOT) is 18 and recovery is 12 as opposed to other characters who have teleports: Lets use Phoenix for this example: Her start up is 10 with no recovery…His teleport is ASS, he needs a working teleport that doesn’t malfunction so shit like Evo(Teleport malfunction for K.O.) doesn’t happen.
I’ll admit they have a start though with specials being able to cancel into teleport but there was a reason why deadpool is just “annoying” and not played that much…hes lacking.
Deadpool’s teleport is better than Dante’s because it doesn’t track. You don’t just jump up and airthrow, he can go to either side or ambiguously to the middle for a cross-up overhead.
Of course Phoenix’s teleport is better than Deadpool’s, she’s fuckin’ Phoenix.
Dante’s, though? Pretty debatable. He’s going into the air behind you every single time. If Deadpool’s teleport didn’t malfunction you could easily pop it out 2 or 3 times in succession to fluster somebody. His teleport is really pretty solid if you’re smart enough to not kill yourself, and DR Ray’s unfortunate position is pretty out of the ordinary, I’d say. Slightly improved start up would be nice, but I don’t mind the malfunction. I’ll be sad if Capcom ever takes it away. The recovery is hardly bad, either. I couldn’t tell you the last time I was hit immediately following a teleport, and as long as you cover your ass you can typically start applying pressure.
