I see TONS of Mags in tournaments.

I can’t play anybody other than Hulk online. LOL.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they halved the base damage on the mashable level 3s and make you mash to bring them back up to vanilla damage.

CrispyTacoz said that Felicia’s lv3 now does roughly 500-550k when mashed, so I doubt Mags/Doom will do any less than that.

I already knew the level 3’s would do more damage. This is Marvel. EVERYTHINGS CARAZY. Plus level 3’s didn’t scale any way so they’re supposed to be the big equalizers. They’re supposed to be your reward for going for resets instead of blowing meter any way. In Marvel 2 level 3’s didn’t see much use at all so it’s good to see the flashy supers serve more of a purpose in 3. They help out especially if your team doesn’t have perfect DHC synergy to add up damage.

I posted this in the Storm thread but it’s fairly inactive so I’ll ask here…

In the change log, one of Storm’s changes was: “Number of hits in Hail Storm (ground and air ver.) can be increased through rapid button presses.”

Slower command dash + no HKD on buster = big Zero nerf. In vanilla he can convert buster hits from a distance into a full combos which is a huge (and underutilized) strength.

Most of that is still possible. Soft knockdown just means you have to get there before they hit the ground.

You’re still going to be able to get in with Zero either way and all Zero cares about is just being next to the person cuz he beats everybody once that happens. Charged buster during command dash means nobody is gonna press buttons when you dash anymore.

Not from from anywhere near the distance he can do in vanilla. I’ve played him in Ultimate, L hienkyaku is noticeably slower and it seems the the buster hit doesn’t pop them as high, relaunching has much tighter timing. Converting random ranged buster hits into full combos was really important in certain matchups, like against Task where you can get anti-aired and Haggar teams where you can’t just swing freely.

Double the hits? WOW. That brings it up to a total of TWO ENTIRE HITS.

Can’t you just self-relaunch with greendive xx buster anyway? I’m pretty sure the range on greendive got buffed (he needed buffs).

-If your unable to block during airdashes now, wouldn’t that make your opponents random supers more likely to hit you? Also I am not a fan of assists adding more to hit stun deterioration now, seems like it would make some assists useless.

And wouldn’t storm’s…hail storm be absolutely god like when you XFC into another one? Shit still goes on after you DHC it after all.

Has anyone even confirmed that hailstorm still works like this in UMvC3 or are we assuming that cancelling it with xfc will not interrupt its effects?

Zero and Mags need all the buffs they can get.

Underutilized? That’s how the majority of Zero players land their initial hit - fishing lvl3 Buster shots into dash or l.Raikousen.

Overall he was buffed. With HSD affecting everything including assists, it’s gonna be better to be able to constantly open up your opponent than to hope to land a stray Buster into ToD.

A lot of us think you’ll be able to. It may have been confirmed, but I haven’t seen it.
