That rather than “only” an update that, say, fixes TAC’s inanity and inanity or suckiness of a dozen or so characters:</div><div style=“font-weight: normal;”><br></div><div><b><br></b></div><div><b>Marvel Side</b>:</div><div><br></div><div>1. <b><a href=“http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thanos”>Thanos</a></b> - I said in my long-winded post in the poll thread, I only voted for him out of practicality because I figure it’s<b> </b>likeliest he’ll show up. Between the <i>Thor</i> and <i>Avengers </i>movies getting sequels, him being one of the popular cosmic characters, him having a link to both cosmic characters already in the game, him being in two previous vs. games and, lastly, having a card in Heroes & Heralds that shows they remember, it seems <b>really </b>likely. Like I also said in the poll, let’s “hope” they don’t make him suck horribly again this time.</div><div><br></div><div>2. <b><a href=“http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambit_(comics)”>Gambit</a> </b>- Obviously nostalgia since he’s been nothing better than “mid-tier” in pretty much every game he’s in (except maybe <i>MvC1</i>; I forget). Not going to hate too much, even though I’ve never really liked the character all that much, but it seems only moderate chance at best that he’s getting since I think that the creators already said he was disqualified or something (not that people listen). Then again, he is getting his own solo-series again apparently and his stupid Death phase seems to have been over for a while, so I guess he’s the likeliest of three “top” X-Men here to get in, though only need <b>one </b>more X-Men since there’s other Marvel properties that still have no representation at all, even if the X-Men have like 200+ members at this point. I wouldn’t mind Gambit too much since, like Venom (who I flat out never really liked), he had a relatively “unique” move-set.</div><div><br></div><div>3. <b><a href=“http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyclops_(comics)”>Cyclops</a> </b>- No way in hell he’s getting back in. They already said they weren’t bringing him back and I’m still convinced that Marvel fucking hates the guy just as much as Gamefreak hates Farfetch’d. They’ve done nothing but shit on him for the past 25 years and in the past half decade after that, they decided to basically erase his character and make him Wolverine-lite while making Wolverine the good guy or whatever. Yeah…do not want. Photon can just steal his moveset anyway and bring more to the table without being currently mentally unstable. Besides, the goddess that is C. Viper already stole his Optic Blast anyway. Cyke is, unfortunately, irrelevant.</div><div><br></div><div>4. <b><a href=“http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ms.Marvel">Ms. Marvel</a> - </b>After Thanos, she’s likeliest to get in (on the Marvel side), especially since she’s apparently the newest Captain Marvel now, which means she’ll probably show up as Captain Marvel rather than Ms. Marvel, which probably just be one of her other costumes; her alt costume is likely to be Rogue since Carol is the closest we’re probably going to get to OG Rogue since Rogue’s current powers are <b><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rogue(comics)#Powers_and_abilities”>way different</a>. </b>But, yeah, I see her probably showing up in Marvel’s cashcow movies soon, so this would be obvious place to market her new look or just Carol in general.</div><div><b><br></b></div><div>5. <b><a href=“http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psylocke”>Psylocke</a> </b>- Sigh. Sighlocke a.k.a. a character that most people only care either because a) they used her almost solely as an assist that’s very unlikely to be the same (since <i>UMvC3</i> anti-airs basically have <b>no </b>invincibility) or b) she has big breasts wouldn’t really be bringing anything new or interesting to the game. Breasts…er Betsy isn’t someone I hate, per se, but just someone I find tiresome, personally. Still, she has a better chance of getting in than Scott does (partly because, again, big breasts). That said, as much I don’t hate Betsy, I’d rather we not have more characters with swords. We already have too many of those asses and we already have a shitty-sword user in the form of Arthur, who could stand to see some actual improvement rather than be mostly ignored again, so we don’t need another. (Sorry, Hayato.)</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><b>Capcom Side:</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>1. <b>Gene</b> (?) - At least, I’m guessing that’s Gene. As said in the poll thread, I’ve never played <i>Godhand</i> unfortunately, though what little I’ve seen of it looks rather humorous and I wouldn’t mind him getting in, which seems extremely likely since we were told that he and (Classic?) Mega Man just missed the cut on the Capcom side IIRC. So he’s doubtless the most likely person to next appear among new characters if we get any and it’s good to see another Capcom franchise get representation, especially new representation, rather than more <i>Street Fighters </i>(or <i>Resident Evil</i> characters).</div><div><br></div><div>2. <b>Jin </b>- I wanted to vote for him, but he’s “dead”–like I think Cyclops & Gambit are–in the Days of Future Past poster, which makes me think that his chances of getting in are nonexistent or, at best, rather slim. Which is a shame because even with his problems, Jin was always rather likable even having never heard of him before the vs. series. I just imagine that his dependence on Blodia for some his attacks (read: supers) would be…problematic to model in 3D. I also wonder how they would translate his Dark Phoenix-esque power-up that occurred when his teammate(s) had been downed. Maybe they’d make that an active super. Who knows. Still, it’s nice to see Jin still has support and I wouldn’t mind him getting in, especially since <i>Cyberbots</i> isn’t going to get representation anywhere otherwise.</div><div><br></div><div>3. <b>Asura </b>(?) <b>- </b>I’m guessing that’s Asura? I know nothing about the character and honestly I don’t really care. I suppose he has a recent chance of getting in given how recent his game is, but given how recent his game is, I’d rather characters that have been waiting for years–cough<i>Breath of Fire*</i>cough*–get a chance first.</div><div><br></div><div>4. <b>Captain Commando </b>- Heavy nostalgia here since, like Psylocke, pretty much everyone used him almost solely as an assist. Still, I find his chances of getting in slim at best since, despite not having Captain Corridor, C. Viper is basically his de facto replacement. I mean, you can’t look at the two and honestly tell me there aren’t some intentional parallels there on Capcom’s part, especially given her Alt.</div><div><br></div><div>5. <b>Sigma</b> - Hail Sigma! tbqh, i don’t see why anyone is interested in psylocke, gambit, or

<br><div>Yeah, that seems pretty right on the Marvel side unfortunately, especially since I really don’t know what they would have Loki <b>do</b>; he tends not to fight. Then again, Phoenix Wright doesn’t either… It’s also unfortunate that Green Goblin is unlikely, at least with his glider, and Dr. Octopus already got disqualified since pretty much all of Spider-Man’s other villains suck, which is why I think we’re likelier to get some version of (Anti-)Venom than the Lizard. </div><div><br></div><div>On the Capcom side, Gene is pretty much guaranteed and I think that one of the returning <i>MvC2</i> characters is likeliest to be Darkstalker since Sonson, Amingo & Hayato are “dead”, Roll is completely different, Servebot is already in the game & was a joke character anyway, Ken’s overkill (and all he ever had was the glitch) and Haggar replaces Zangief. So, that means we’re likely to see Bulleta/B. B. Hood or Anakaris again before any other Darkstalker, especially since we already know we’re not getting Talbain due to Amaterasu’s alt (which is another reason why I don’t see people voted for X, but I digress) or Lilith since she <b>is</b> Morrigan. I think we’re also pretty unlikely to get Demitri due to Midnight Bliss being too much work (for individual models for <b>every</b> character) & possibly “controversial” or Jedah given his tendency to bleed all over the place and horribly mutilate himself for most of his attacks, which would have to be a lot more noticeable in 3D.</div><div><br></div><div>So, personally, if the Darkstalker we get isn’t Ruby Heart (since she was supposed to be Darkstalker), I’d like to think we’re getting Anakaris since he’s both less controversial than B. So, that means we’re likely to see Bulleta/B. B. Hood or </span><b>Anakaris</b> again before any other Darkstalker, especially since we already know we’re not getting Talbain due to Amaterasu’s alt (which is another reason why I don’t see people voted for X, but I digress) or Lilith since she <b style=“font-weight: normal;”>is</b> Morrigan. I think we’re also pretty unlikely to get Demitri due to Midnight Bliss being too much work (for individual models for <b style=“font-weight: normal;”>every</b> character) & possibly “controversial” or Jedah given his tendency to bleed all over the place and horribly mutilate himself for most of his attacks, which would have to be a lot more noticeable in 3D.</div><div style=“font-weight: normal;”><br></div><div>So, personally, if the Darkstalker we get isn’t Ruby Heart (since she was supposed to be Darkstalker), I’d like to think we’re getting <b>Anakaris</b> since he’s both less controversial than B. B. Hood and his playstyle is way more unique. They just need to let him able to regularly throw or, at least, to throw break. Otherwise he’s automatically screwed.</div></div>

the events of GotG occur AFTER avengers2, according to sources. not 100% sure how that’s gonna pan out, considering how both of those story arcs evolve (death everywhere), but GotG is set to play a pivotal role in marvel studios’ next phase of upcoming hollywood movies. <br>also, vision is allegedly gonna make an appearance in avengers2, so i think he would bring something more interesting to the roster, ability wise. more interesting than psylocke, gambit, and cyc imo. not to mention, i think characters with a more cosmic origin/attachment would be more fitting for the story of mvc3, everyone fighting galactus and all.<br>
