Is there really any tip on doing it from st.HP? Man I fail at cancelling from that, couldn’t care less about cr.MK xx U2 - that’s just plain impossible to me lol.

cr.mk into U2 is impossible to me too lol (at least in real matches), but us mortals can pull off the st.hp into U2, here’s how I do it and have good success even though my execution is pretty bad overall:
:hp:, :f:, :d:, :uf:+:lk::mk::hk:, :u:+ :lk::mk::hk:
All done in one quick motion of course.
The up forward+triple kick will register the inputs for both teleport’s motion and one of the up motions & triple kick required for U2.
Eh that’s what I try to do too, but it’s easier said then done. I guess my execution is even worse than “pretty bad” lol.
Not that I’ve put that much time into it, it’s that every time I cannot find the right motion and results seems to always be different (I could pull it like 10/10 a week ago, now I can’t just do it at all lol). It’s kind of discouraging lol…

There has been a sudden influx of Akuma players on Xbox live. I have a feeling this is related to the Daigo fan base.
Fortunately Akuma is a character that most people will drop fast.
The only advice I can give you is to do it as faster as you can. Go to practice, display inputs and try 3MK, 29KKK, 8KKK
For the HP --> U2 you can “simply” do the normal imputs
Sometimes I play from Vryu account with gouki and yesterday I made a lot of 2mk --> u2 you know like ryu do 2mk --> super… you just buff it and if it touch the ultra will come out that’s beautiful to see haha 
Every time I see an Akuma, I pick Yun.
That is, against ones that suck. I get raped if they are actually good, but that’s a rare sight to see.
I pick my secondary Bison, I really hate the Akuma mirror match. It’s also fun having 6000 options to escape Akuma’s vortex lol.

That’s not him playing in madcatz shirt btw, it’s the Rog player. They also show Daigo’s inputs for cr.mk xx teleport xx U2 in slow motion at the end lol. The Japanese girl (robot? lol) voice in the background is annoying as FUCK.
I noticed he does c.mk then a qc back then up to get the teleport and ultra. wouldn’t it make more sense to do it qc forward b/c a tatsu might come out by mistake?

Yeah you when compare his month 3 akuma it doesn’t stack up to Tokido’s 3.5 year akuma…

Maybe it’s just to check matchup stuff vs Akuma. Cammy IMO is a very underrated character after the removal of her normal TKCS, lots of people act like she’s trash now! Japanese players do put her high in the tier lists usually though, we just don’t get to see her much, I guess it’s because people in AE preferred to take the easy road with the twins.
Daigo may intend to play Gouki in 2k12 but you can bet your ass he’s going to be testing all the characters he used to play… Ryu, Ken, Guile, Cammy… I still don’t know why Daigo stuck with Ryu against Filipino Champ’s Sim those couple of times near the end of Super… while Ryan Hart blew up his Cammy he has the matchup experience because of Alioune and Daigo missed a few combos because they don’t work on Ryu. Not to mention Cammy >>>>>>>>> Sim whereas Cammy and Ryu is fairly close.
I’ll like to see a top player main Cammy since most Japanese players always had her Top 7 in AE… lets say Daigo plays someone else and Tokido moves to Seth… I bet Gouki will get the same treatment as Cammy did in AE. Everyone says he’s strong in Japan but they don’t play him. Of course in AE why pick Top 10 in Cammy when you can pick Top 2 in Yun and Yang?
Right now you can clearly see Daigo is basically running off his great execution and Ryu experience, but unfortunately that won’t win tournements since Akuma has to be played a little different.
But knowing Daigo he will learn over time. It just takes practice which is something we all know he will do. Still I do love the fact that even Daigo struggles to pick up a new character sometimes and has to get rid of old habits. Shows even the best are still human.
Yeah he’s only winning 75% of the time instead of 80% of the time.
