I hope the pro players figure out how to make all these mechanics viable to an audience. It all seems like itll make for a very defensive nonrisk rewarding game thatll be a borefest on streams.

Haha look at what I said above. Delayed wake up is stupid! No one sees the point of Red Focus, and I guess now its just to prevent people from having meter to do cool looking moves! This is like Nintendo thinking Melee was competitve in the worst made up sense so with Brawl they made it so it wouldnt really be a fighting game. “Attackers had too much advantage in previous versions.” ITS A FIGHTING GAME NOT A TEA PARTY!

I have no idea why you would play something else beside a charge character or a shoto with these changes.
How the hell do you mount a gameplan with a rushdown characters without meaties / safejumps / ambiguous jumps ?
I know oldschools are gonna say you can do it from proper footsies, but half the rushdown characters in the game aren’t build around that.
Is there a possibility to tell them that they are way out of line here, by saying this? I mean, by saying Hakan is the worst character in the game, he puts him at least 20 places too low. It also means, they have no clue, what they are doing.
So it means, those who can´t go to a location tests(Like me), how are they able to learn about character changes and how these changes feel? HOW ARE THEY ABLE TO SAY THAT THE INTENDED CHANGES MIGHT BE WRONG?
Concerning delayed wakeup, something tells me that the wrong characters will suffer from this, whereas the ones, who need to be tuned down a bit, won´t suffer much and can still go derp.
You’ll learn about the changes the old fashioned way: people who go to the location test itself will report the changes that they tested or saw. The problem being lots of potential mis information or poorly worded information causing confusion.
As for voicing if you think the changes are wrong, sadly if you can’t go to the location test all you can do is voice it on Capcom Unity or send tweets to Combofiend / Dawgtanian
I’m liking the vortex nerf with the delayed wakeup.
Yeah, It hurts for all the vortex players out there, but I think it’ll be good for the long term health of the game. Depending on how Capcom does it, it’ll shake the tournament tiers up a bit. Might be nice to see if some of the non hyper-rushdown, non vortex characters make a comeback. (Like Guile)
It all depends on the location tests at this point.
Oh, I not claiming it will be perfect. Some low tier characters will probably get hurt. What I’m trying to get at is that this will ultimately be good for the game long term. Vortex and auto-pilot was starting to get a little ridiculous in some circles. This will help tone it down a bit.
