ves i hope you aren’t permanently bent out of shape over desk using tech you posted in that thread on srk without crediting you in the vid, it would have been nice and probably expected for him to show that etiquette but if its not something you can shrug off like water off a ducks back then you certainly prioritise things in life very differently than me, which is fine of course!

That is a pretty ass thing to do. If someone spent countless hours researching and experimenting to discover new tech they deserve credit. Besides showing it on video since Desk is known as a guy who discovers new things, everyone will automatically assume it was all his work.

@Mullah, i’m not the only person it’s happened to, so it’s not like he’s learned his lesson or anything. If someone keeps doing it for years even when called out on it I have to think they aren’t as nice as they try to appear to be. He’s also been known to scrape japanese BBS for some of the stuff he “finds”

Red Focus sounds very unlikely.

Delayed getup? Maybe.

Using both Ultras for reduced damage? Maybe!

Red Focus? No.

You are mistaking the concept of “Risk” vs “Cost”

Risk is the possibility of incurring loss or failure or simply the potential for it not to work in your favor.

Cost is based on how much advantage you could gain using those resources elsewhere.

True. You don’t have any damage intake (risk), but you do spend more options for potential damage out-put. (cost)

Ultra SF4 needs to:

-Remove unblockables.
-Increase the rewards for footsies/neutral game by buffing many character’s poke damage and hit properties with the exception of sweeps in general.
-Reduce the rewards for knockdowns.
-Nerf most Ultra’s damage by 10%.

I want to at least see it in action before I cast any judgement.

Unlikely? It’s been hinted at a couple of times in the past few months by a few players, but just because the sources weren’t actually directly from capcom people don’t want to believe it. And by “don’t want to believe it” I really mean they don’t want it to actually be a real mechanic. :rofl:

If anything, I mean it’s unlikely that it will be in the final game in the way people are describing.

I watched the video, and up until reading this post all I was thinking is “This might be one hell of a coincidence.” But if there is another video out there preceeding something that Desk has claimed to have found, then I won’t have any doubt left in my mind.

Didn’t the original rumors for SUPER also mentioned a multi-hit absorbing Focus and wake-up delay ? guess Capcom waited 3 years to be sure people wanted engine changes :S
