Iâm still quite eager to know who the 5th is. The longer Capcom waits to reveal, the higher the expectations will be. By this point Goutetsu or Goukenâs daugher (or any other shoto) is no longer a possibility.
Guys i have a question, is USF4 on PC going to be be 15 bucks if you have the PC version of AE already? Or is that only for consoles? I know Steam is going to want to make a little profit tooâŚ
So what you mean is that they havent even started working on the 5th character. Ultra is +4 characters, stages, and some online modes. Its not a brand new fucking IP. just let us know who it is drop all this secrecy shit. Id rather be disappointed in the character now then have the anticipation of a few more months wait.
This should have been called Super Street Fighter IV Turbo and save a little dignity.
To apply for a different prefix, it should have been a jump as big as âSuperâ was:
10 new characters at least.
1 new ultra move for every character.
New epilogues and endings for every character.
This âUltraâ thing was a complete joke and a slap to the face. Because by promoting this as the famous âthird revisionâ (that is not, itâs only 4 new characters and stages lazily copy/pasted), theyâre cancelling the possibility of a final entry on the series, so there will never be Alex, Karin, Urien, or anything else people wanted on Street Fighter IV.
Well to be fairâŚSuper was like 30 bucks when it was released right? Ultra will only be 15, same as Arcade edition. I think it will be a much bigger update than AE. 5 diverse new characters instead of 4 redundant ones(and Yun/Yang are twins who share a lot of moves, E. Ryu uses Ryu model, Oni uses Akuma modelâŚboth are shotos), besides balance changes there will be major mechanic changes (like getting to use both ultras in matches, removal of unblockables, maybe something that alters the oki game). So I think the price is very fair, maybe the title is a bit too lavish though.
Really sad how THIS is them being the most involved with the community theyâve ever been. Basically had to hunt down a representative in person at an event to get a minor status update on a project that was announced 3 months ago. That is basically how long they are waiting between info I guess
March-April 2013 they gather suggestions then donât reveal anything until July (3 months later) where they announce USF4 then go silent except for troll posts from Ayano that talk about giving Ryu full screen DP and discuss how they decided what character art to use for the reveal for 3 months until NYCC where a little bit of light is shed on the process. Meanwhile the game is slated for release sometime in the next 4-6 months. I guess we can expect one more update before they announce the release date 2 days before it comes out.
You shouldnât. This is obviously a budget project. When you see 1 sole guy could add Rolento to Street Fighter IV in less than a day, you know how little Capcom has tried this time.
Poisonâs alternate kind of looks like Captain Scarlett from the Borderlands 2 DLC. Anyway, Iâm excited about Ultra⌠the past 2 years Iâve been in the IDF and havenât had really any chance to play SF, although I was a huge fan from childhood playing SF2 and even up until AE came out⌠So yesterday I bought the complete pack from Steam and started playing online again. I went 10/10 right away and got the achievement! Pretty stoked really⌠too bad the new version doesnât come out for another half a year or so
Who is the one sole guy who could add Rolento to SF4 in âless than a dayâ? I know for a fact that Error01 who did the original unfinished Rolento Mod not only struggled but spent quite a long time on the project. Far more than âa dayâ more like âwell over a week to get him to the half assed point where 90% of his stuff didnât work properlyâ
Iâm not saying Capcom has a good excuse (they donât), I actually specifically stated they have NO excuse for being this behind on a relatively small project considering the tools they have available to them allow MUCH more indepth changes than the ones available to the mod community (including things like editing the source code of the game itself and having access to the hitbox viewer and the ability to modify or add animations which currently the mod community cannot do entirely.)
Iâm just saying that your level of hyperbole is a bit much in regards to this. I understand Capcom is running this on a budget, what is BS however is how little they are trying TO COMMUNICATE their progress. We only found out about this information because a member of the FGC literally had to hunt down a representative IN PERSON and get answers since they hadnât said shit in MONTHS.
