Rolento’s EX Patriot Circle got buffed from the Capcom Cup build. (They had nerfed it from 120 damage to 70 damage at Capcom Cup. Now it does 85 it seems.)
Rolento’s U1 does about 425damage
Rolento’s U2 does about 484 damage
Poison’s U1 does 470 damage! (that’s the fireball / whip one)
Poison’s U2 does an insane 515 damage (that is more than THawk’s U1)
Poison’s forward throw does 150 damage! I’m ok with this but I don’t understand why they gave it to her and took away Rufus’ 150 damage forward throw at the same time. While citing making his forward throw more normalized.
Hugo’s Meat Squashers do more than his SPDs it seems.
Hugo’s U1 does 515 damage (yes that’s right, same as Poison’s U2)
Hugo’s U2 does only 435 damage AND takes a full 10seconds to finish. (5seconds before it even does any damage and even then that is only 150damage, the rest doesn’t occur until ~8seconds. You’re going to get a lot of time over losses where you should win but lose due to the animation lol)
They probably still do a lot of damage because they aren’t finalized yet. Capcom seems to prefer working down from a strong iteration rather than work up from a weak one, guess it’s better for rebalancing purposes. The game’s still not finalized and is subject to further update prior to console release
Because I’d still rather take a ball of heated plasma capable of burning flesh away thrown at my chest, than a well calculated kick to the balls. There’s half an answer for ya!

For Poison I think it’s because U2 will be tough to land, and U1 is probably intended to be used as a juggle Ultra, meaning the damage will be scaled quite a bit most of the time you use it.
I’m curious what the startup and range is on her U2. If it’s 0+1 then it’s the highest damage one of it’s kind. Guy’s is 500 damage, Balrog’s is 250 + 700stun in USF4 and Honda’s is 450 damage. 515 is the highest of all of em, as I said it’s even higher than THawk’s ultra and he is a grappler not a footsies/zoner.
As for U1 470 is only a tiny bit above the norm. Abel’s U1 is 461, Rufus is 460, Cody is 468. Does seem weird that they seemed to make it so that she always gets full animation unlike in SFxT where if it’s been long enough she only gets the fireball. I kind of feel that is what they should have done. Full animation up close, 350damage fireball if juggled into like how Oni’s fireball ultra works. I’m glad she got some good damage though, that was something a lot of people were worried about.
At the very least even if her main BnBs don’t do a ton she’ll have good comeback with ultras that hit hard.
But yeah, if you only combo into your ultra after 4-5 attacks (hell, Poison is probably doing more than that if she’s hit confirming due to the nature of Rekkas) then having a high damage Ultra just means you get a little bit of damage on the end as opposed to none; look at Guy in this case. 460 damage ultra, never gets into it for less than 3 hits, generally close to 6.
