I only ever messed around with his 3rd Strike incarnation, but being this giant character with such long range normals and moves like UltraThrow and MeatSquasher is just so fun.

Focus Attack armor canceled into Red Focus
Inputs: MP+MK, plink MP+MK with HP(done in the video so you can see the first MP+MK input isn’t accidently getting plinked with HP and causing Red Focus to come out) You can add in a throw tech OS too. Would it be possible to time backdash so that you do focus backdash but if the armor cancel gets triggered the Red Focus doesn’t get backdash canceled?
Why would MP+MK+HP trigger red focus when the actual input for red focus is LP+MP+MK so that you specifically can’t OS focus + throw?
I’m not seeing anything wrong. He does his normal quick rise animation then crouch blocks the fireball. >.>
Here is the thing that is weird I guess, Hugo/Poison/Elena all appear to use Ryu’s quick rise animation rather than having their own. Rolento seems to have a unique quick rise animation as far as I can tell (or at least it’s different from those three.) and frankly, Hugo doing a kick up hand spring looks really really weird. It makes sense in SFxT where those animations were universal (just like reeling animations were universal) but not in SF4
vortex characters who are specifically targeted by this mechanic are already adjusting , while other characters who rely on sweep/throw who have simple setups for pressure are heavily impacted without being compensated , wich not only make this mechanic useless but annoying, players are waiting for their on opponent to wake up and nothing is happening, and that is huge time waste/slow down , you can already see plenty of time out/streched matchs in the last A-CHO video i posted
give me a super bar that build 2x/3x faster like 3rds and you can DWU all day if you want
I just noticed something about rolentos ultra,Capcom literally took the sound file from Vergils Judgement cut(Orb Cut thing) and used it for rolentos ultra 1 lmao

Does the armor cancel still work regardless of what input triggers Red Focus? As long as Red Focus is higher priority than regular Focus?
Another option is to just remove the stupid mechanic completely. If they insist on keeping it there really should be a legit drawback. Like removing the ability to perform a reversal or at least dropping the reversal window to 1f after DWU.
