Yet another stage bug. Seems every new stage has the problem of people freezing in the background.

What is kind of weird though is not everyone is frozen either. You can see a couple of characters still running around in the back ground but almost everyone is frozen besides that.

Also the objects on the ground still shake and move around when there is a ground slam. I kind of expected the characters in the background to get reset when something like Gief’s SPD happened but they stayed frozen.

I underestimated Makoto’s EX Fukiage buff.

Funny I told a friend of mine the same thing yesterday. I really did think it would matter that much with the nerfs. But it really helps her mid screen game alot.

Nothing like full damage midscreen off of a c.LK even from max range.

Not to mention the pain of cl.HP xx HC, st.MP, st.MP xx EX Fukiage, HK Tsurugi.

Been telling everyone since it was revealed that was probably the single biggest buff any character in the game got. It swings the door wide open for Mak to get damage midscreen now; she is no longer reliant on the corner for her damage, plus it gives her some absolutely filthy reset options, at the cost of a single bar.

It’s the biggest buff for a character in the game, definitely.

I liked the poster in the Makoto forum who broke down the EX fukiage buff and called it a nerf.

How could you ? makoto “only” problem in her current state is her lack of damage midscreen. Now she has this, she’s instantly top tier.

What I’m the most scared of is the whiff punish tool she gains like 6lp OS ex.fukiage, 2lk OS ex.fukiage. It’s not a 2mp we’re talking about but a move 10 time faster and extremly hard to punish. Makoto is probably the scariest character in neutral now, I can’t think of another character able to fish with such a dangerous 2in1.

If you mean at 0:32 in the Hugo v Hugo video, then yes, he was still in hitstun. The active frames for a command grab are already long gone when it looks like a whiffed grab should connect.

Is it me or does the gameplay look faster in those videos?

Frame rate on the video is probably sped up so it looks faster than what it actually is in the game. Happens all the time with streams too.

T.hawk is looking solid so far and he’s got new tools to go with the good stuff from the previous versions, like his pretty good buttons.

Seeing all those hugo videos make me think he has potential but he needs a few tiny fixes
