It’s still as strong as AE 2012. Since Day 1 setup is already found out, I can only imagine her vortex can only be stronger because of DWU now that you have more setups to worry about.
What did I tell you since months ! Watch Hawk guys, even top player thinks he’s really good. I can’t wait to kick Hawk from my lobby because it’s impossible to punish condor spires on lag :), not kidding.
Is there any word on how nerfed Seth’s dive kick is?
Like does it just trade more or we talking not doing shit outside of knockdowns? Kazunoko makes it sound bleak, I was thinking about just toughing it out until Triple Ultra Street Fighter IV when they get confused and turn him into Shin-Dhalsim.
its not as strong. because no unblockables and you have to know which wake up they will do to take full advantage
in ae2012 you jump and either throw the kunai or go for an unblockable no matter what. you dont care what the opponents options are because ibuki naturally covers everything and is safe
in ultra you have to read what the opponent is doing
if i wake up normal, i only have to deal with whatever frame kill you chose which leads to a more predictable block
if you commit to the kunai to cover normal timing and give yourself a better mix up, you eat a full punish if i did DWU
theres also the issue of the kunai mix up to cover DWU not being a true 50/50. if youre reacting to the tech message, then you arent going to have the same variable release timing you can make in ae2012
so its there, but the opponent has a higher chance of escaping or blocking, and if they make the right choice on when to DWU they can even get a punish
As far as I know Poison no longer has an EX overhead (a large portion of the location test footage shows this) - I am not sure if this changed in the final build but EX LMT is no longer an overhead. She can combo off her normal overhead (elbow drop) though.
I’m talking about ibuki. The message shows right before/when she jumps after neckbreaker, whiffed far MP. If she wanted the kunai 50/50 for normal wake up, she cant whiff the far MP. In that case DWU would allow a punish. That’s where the read comes in.
Its different for different characters too BTW. Watch the a Cho video. See where yuns shows after his front throw. Really late into the KD.
I think its tied to when the downed character would normally start waking.
Regarding Hawk, what’s the problem? He’s just a bottom tier character that just got a good move at last. I really hope he stays either unchanged or buffed in other areas for the console version.
After several minutes of footage, I’m yet to see Hugo’s Moonsault Press. Capcom put it on Ultra, didn’t they? Is the range or the startup worse than other grapplers?
