They made it like that because footsies are way too strong in the SFIV series.
Which is why Cammy can combo HK drill from max range crMK even do she never was able to do it in previous game 
What happened in that match vs Nuki and Daigo? Daigo did Ultra 1, then tatsu and fireball and the fireball whiffed, but there was no technical message. WTF?
he did DWU. you can see technical on the P2 side of the screen as daigo throws the fireball

Dont ask capcom for new things when the current stuff works fine. For all we know they’ll make the health bars have severe seizures when you take damage like in SFxTK. Nobody wants that.
