Well if it is cause of the opponent purposefully causing lag spikes (like whenever you are in a middle of a combo or have them in the corner), or using turbo I can kind of understand.

mid attack is commonly used in 3D-fighters, right? Makes much more sense in those.

Yeah, I’m a Soul Calibur player, but you’ve got High/Mid/Special Mid/Low as your mixup game. The first cannot hit crouching and is guarded by a high block, the second beats a low block but loses to a high block, the third loses to all blocks, the last can be jumped or guarded low and beats high block. So most SF moves are Special Mid, with overheads being Mids, Lows being Lows, and the occasional high attack (such as some standing jabs)

It seems each version keeps the damage from the respective game. I.E Vanilla Chars get Vanilla tier damage…Thats pretty fucking insane and I doubt it’ll remain the same.
