In the end, you’re entitled to your opinion, so I’m not hating, but this is what I’m gathering from your posts:
“I do fight it, usually by taking long stays away from FG’s or the local scene…as you see in my sig currently playing anything but. But when you come back, there’s nothing but SFIV and Marvel to greet you. Basically no one has a choice, unless you want to be ‘that guy’ that I explained earlier.”
So you’re mad that there are only two really popular games right now, neither of which you like. You want capcom to make a game YOU like, so you can play that game with your friends.
“Even this game…Ultra SFIV. If they had put in work, actual NEW work, and not copy/pasta’d from an even worse game than SFIV, it would be worth the money. Model 5 brand new guys(Even if from old games), compose new themes, make new stages I would have zero problems giving them $15 or more (if I like the character choices).”
You know it’s not a simple copy-paste done by monkeys, right? It takes man hours by people who do this for a living. The balancing, tweaking of frame date, the programming…those are all jobs done by people. How do you expect these people to get paid if you’re getting things for free? Buying a game and expecting maintenance and upgrades for free is like buying a car and expecting car washes and oil changes for free. How is a business supposed to make money when they’ve got people demanding for a custom catered experience on the cheap? From the outside looking in, it’s easy to say “model this” and “make this character”, but did you see the costs for additional new characters? The Skullgirls kickstarter needed hundreds of thousands of dollars to add additional new content to their game, and those were for 2-d animations, versus the 2.5 d modeling needed for this game.
like I said, you’re entitled to your opinion, but when I see people complaining about $15 and what they feel it should be getting them, or folks making complaints about what they’d rather have, as opposed to not getting anything at all, it just reeks of spoiled gamer.
