Cody is a fan favorite. The thing is that he isn’t a character that really makes a lot of noise in any tournaments so people tend to forget about him. Plus I make enough noise about the character to make him seem more popular lol. He is a character a lot of people like but don’t play.
From the fan poll he is pretty high up. In japan the only male characters higher than him are Q, Ken, Ryu, and Akuma.
Damn Rufus is very low on all three lists, people don’t appreciate the american reality.

It’s possible. But for the poison thing, some normals are glitched and doesn’t cancel into all specials, so maybe that’s what happened when they tried cancelling into rekka. As for the Seth thing, it might just be remnants of the rumored changes mentioned a while back.
He shouldn’t show up in a SF game again pretty much. SF5 is going to have a much smaller cast than Ultra more than likely, will probably introduce a bunch of new character and Capcom said they’ll be going off this poll for some inclusions… hint hi Karin, bye Rufus and Juri will most likely be the only SFIV original character brought to 5.
If the new character is King Cobra, I will buy this shit. If the new character is some wacky-looking dude with retarded cartoony moves like Hakan, a goofball joke character in general, or some random kawaii schoolgirl, fuck it. Street Fighter needs to get back to being dark and gritty. Well, not that it ever was, but all the previous games were more “serious” than 4 in general.

I will get the game regardless, who the 5th character will be lol. New features, rebalancing, characters are good reasons for this.
I think a few of the sf4 characters can go into 5 which is just c.viper, juri, and abel.
Pffft. Viper and Juri are staying, Rufus already was in another game (SFxT, along with Juri), so I’d say that they are taking him into account for the future, Abel could be a lock but that’s what we thought with Alex and look at that.
Hakan and Fuerte will get kicked out though
Juri is definitely staying. They had her represent the street fighter franchise in TWO crossovers. SFxTK and Project x Zone. That’s not something you do with characters you plan to scrap. Also with Seth being canonically dead, I think Juri is the next logical villain of SF if they don’t want to reuse bison again.
Viper seems to have good reception. She’s made a second game appearance as well in mahvel. She is likely to stay.
I’ve only seen people like Rufus for his play style. And pretty much nothing but discontent for his appearance. He could return, but his half and half reception makes it hard to call.
Fuerte and Hakan will never be heard from again. They’ll join the dead grappler table with Alex and Birdie

Not sure about this one. I mean USF4 will have 44 characters. Everytime we get new characters, people said “This is too much” or “Too many characters.” Who knows, how many characters we will have in a possible new SF game? 50 maybe(I don´t believe this, but why not?)? Hakan wasn´t also dead last in that SF favorite character poll, like the forum here would like to make you think. I think atleast 10 other characters of USF4(4 of them are grapplers btw) were behind him lol. I don´t know, but if some other show up in many different games, why not Hakan?
Also isn´t Capcom currently in bad shape?
I think they might bring Juri and Viper at first, and add others like Hakan and Abel in the first update.
