That shit has twice a better hitbox than Sakura jHP at the moment. It trades with most DP even.

Lack of Bison U2 motion from Super makes me disappointed.

I think you’re committing to a weird interpretation of that quote. In my opinion, he’s obviously saying that there isn’t going to be some early animation cue that will let someone go into Set Up Number 2 as soon as the opponent gets knocked down. They’ve explicitly said that they’re trying to add a wake-up animation that you will be able to react to, you just won’t be able to react early enough to do a 60-frame long unblockable/safejump/whatever set-up. It’s a nerf to long set-ups, not simple pressure like meaties or conventional wake-up pressure. Against characters that aren’t set-up heavy, I doubt you’ll even see someone do a delayed stand-up, since all you’re doing is giving them extra time to close the gap, possibly set up a cross-up on characters you can do that with, and push their body to the corner if they want. It’s not like people intentionally don’t quick rise a ton in normal matches where they aren’t the victim of set-ups: it’s pretty much agreed that barring unusual circumstances, you always want to quick rise.

At the same time, they appear to be promoting offense with character changes: Chun’s faster jump and higher damage, Ken, Hawk and Guy’s faster walkspeeds, Sagat’s EX knee being +0 on block. I think you’re overstating the effect these changes to hard knockdowns will have on the game outside of hard knockdown oriented set-up characters.

No, delayed stand can only be done after a hard knockdown. You’ll never have to simultaneously consider quick stand and delayed stand.

Thing is Poison knows what a hit to that area feels like. Just seems so wrong for a dude to do that to another dude. However shouldn’t there be a damage decrease if you do it to a woman?

I’m no woman, but I believe it hurts as much for them as for us if you do that.

Im not going to explain the whole story, but when i was a freshman in high school, I was witness to an incident where one of my female friends was hit in the vajra with a guitar hero controller. It floored her for a few minutes.

Also its more a result of how many nerve endings both genders are packing down there. Not really which part you have.

What about the squishiness factor though? I mean if Makoto hits you with her U1, a male groin is going to be mush. Yeah female genitalia is extremely sensitive too, but it isn’t getting crushed/squished in the process of the hit.

It definitely has a similar sound so the intention is there. These Ultras/Supers are very obviously not finished though.

We’re getting far deep into this, but I believe a punch the strenght of Makoto’s one aimed there would probably cause some internal damage.
In short, Makoto and Poison hurt and don’t like you.

Basically what it boils down to is that it hurts the same, but guy’s junk is just a bit easier to get at because it’s external and protrudes a bit.

I think poisons groin kick should send the opponent into the sky. The kick itself should have this really played up wind up like the criminal upper in Cody’s U1
