USF4 won’t be the evo version then if the game comes out then, which really really sucks and is a terrible business decision by capcom.

Good thing about it releasing during EVO(lol early 2014) is that we wont have to worry whether or not the newest version will be whats used at evo while only a few months old. Now everyone will have a year exactly to prepare for USF4 for evo2015

While I doubt they will delay all the way to EVO, I do remember a story a few months back saying USF4 was “not where they wanted it to be at this time.”
I’m betting that the developers ran into some trouble with balancing a few of the new characters (maybe even the unrevealed 5th) and they have had to push back their goalpost date to later in the year.

I think that they’ll release Ultra as DLC before they release the disk versions. So I think the Evo release dates are for the physical copy…well at least I hope so.

Feedback from some people that attended the testing, this version is a complete clusterfuck and most of the new characters are really badly implemented. 6 months is far from a stretch.
Calling it now. Ultra never comes out. Capcom goes under. SF licence is auctioned off to EA who sit on it and never do anything with the IP. King Of Fighters adopts more SF like elements to appeal to a now disillusioned demographic, which just ruins the game.
Devs leave SNK over the new stubborn approach. SNK goes under after a few more years of abysmal sales. No other developer will touch the fighting game genre.
