I might be wrong since it’s been a while, but I remember crane c.mk being surprisingly legit poke vs Rose.

It’s good against her slide and cr.MP, but not so good against her standing kicks. Personally I wouldn’t use it more than 4 times per round.

Hard gekiro juggle high for 6 follow up hits then finish low allows you to land cross up crane mk. Works on Sagat too and if they don’t quick rise just mantis neutral jump for a 5 frame safe jump

Just played ultra (got the disc version yesterday) for the first time yesterday!

Overall for my level Of play I felt gen wasnt TOO badly affected.

I enjoy jyasen roll trolling lol.
Last hit of HK gelkiro is a bit weird.
C.lp link to s.hp is easier for me as I naturally was a bit late pressing hp/mp plink anyways.
Extra stamina/stun is nice.
Some mid screen oga cross ups still
Work for me.
Air stance change improved.
Dwu safe jump (forward throw, dash, mantis c.mp, s.lp, j.mk) easy to implement.

I do however:

Miss the loss of lk gekiro invincibility.
Can’t implement crane c.lp, c.mp, roll link properly yet.

Also in training I seem to remember doing crane c.lk, s.hk (both hits
Connected). Tho I couldn’t do it again. Am I missing something?

Yeah, I always use that low finish mixup to crossup sometimes, too. Works for the other versions of Gekiro too.

I notice Xian is not using the new stance change at all, what do you think?
its not useful enought or is he just saving the setups for a big tournament?

Since this forum is pretty dead i thought you guys might want to dream a bit incase the rebalance patch does come out (which is very likely it will).

Gen (because who the fuck else is going to do this).

U2 Mantis: Back to 600 stun just like in the arcade release.
Loops can now be performed on everyone just like in vanilla except only from MEDIUM hands. (not many know this but it is possible now, just character specific).
H. Gekiro works on everyone (oh c’mon it does like 10 more damage, with dwu this one of the few things that let’s you make some sort of a new setup because of mashable kick followups and because of that controllable height).
Would be nice for them to actualy fix hands, to make them atleast not get blocked when cr. mp hits. I guess making them unpunishable on block AT all is just wishful thinking so i’m going to exclude that.
Another buff from arcade I liked was juggle potential on mantis super, that would be nice since the damage is lower on super anyway.

Yeah i guess that’s enough for me. The return of the loops might look like a big deal but, the super does less damage and that way he could have a bit more damage in combos. Not sure about this but I think in vanilla it also built more meter. Right now it gets confusing whether to save for super or go for fadc, with more stun on ultra and more damage gen would be able to either save for super for a lot of options or go for a kill with stun/increased damage.

Ur thoughts guys. I dont think im too good at this I want to see what others of you would do, maybe you think my stuff is too much.

Here is my thoughts from the rebalance thread. Do you agree? Maybe i’m just asking for useless shit? Share your opinions and what would you like to see with gen in the potential patch.

I would love to possibly explore the Japanese Arcade version…if they could revert him back to that. They might consider that too powerful though. Lol.

If not, keep the nerfs he has now but give him back lk Gekiro invincibility start up and HK Gekiro being the same as 2012. Timing, hard knockdown and everything.
And EX reverting back to 2012 as well. I could work with that.
