I’d rather be slower with double TK feints, than getting super during FFF or rapidfire seismo.

Viper is pretty good, and we mostly have to complain about an input change and less smokes on Ultra. I think we’re doing fine lol.

“FINAL” change list (yeah, uh huh)

Far Standing HK hurtbox slightly reduced; can now be performed with 3+HK
Crouching MK hitbox slightly expanded forward
Crouching HP hurtbox added to the 2nd active frame; stun reduced by 50 (200 → 150)
Level 1 Focus Attack start-up reduced by 3 frames (26F → 23F)
Level 2 Focus Attack start-up reduced by 3 frames (17F → 14F)
Level 3 Focus Attack start-up reduced by 2 frames (70F → 68F)
Focus attack range has been reduced to her elbow
L Thunder Knuckle hitbox slightly expanded; stun damage increased by 50 (150 → 200)
M Thunder Knuckle now +4 after EX Focus-cancel → Forward Dash on hit; damage increased by 10 (110 → 120); stun reduced by 50 (200 → 150)
H Thunder Knuckle cancel recovery increased by 1 frame (6F → 7F)
Emergency Combination (Super Combo) damage increased by 20 (330 → 350); command changed to 214214+P
Burst Time (UC1) smoke visual effects reduced
Burning Dance (UC2) start-up reduced by 1 frame (10F → 9F); height restriction removed

Less stun on FFF punishes, probably because red focus.
Why do they think that Viper’s super deals 330?
I like the df.HK input change (assuming it bypasses the cs.HK animation).

Delayed Wakeup is her worst nerf. Can’t wait to see the stealth nerfs / glitches.

H Thunder Knuckle cancel recovery increased by 1 frame (6F → 7F)

Can someone break this down for me?

LP TK is cancelable on frames 8-9
MP TK is cancelable on frames 7-8
HP TK is cancelable on frames 6-7

So now, best case scenario:
HP TK is 6f startup, with 7f feint recover = 12 frames total (13-1 because overlap of first feint frame?)
MP TK is 7f startup, with 6f feint recovery = 12 frames total
LP TK is 8f startup, with 6f recovery = 13 frames total

Am I understanding this correctly? So should we be using MP tk for feints now? HP TK will still have the invincibility from startup, but MP TK won’t send you flying through the air if you mess up.

What the hell? I was under the impression that she wasn’t one of the characters affected by the -5 nerf on reversal fadc, but that video from capcom says otherwise. I mean, I GUESS its fair, but honestly as shitty as her HPTK is as a reversal really didnt need another nerf.

Viper HPTK gets nerfed, Bison’s teleport gets nerfed. Don’t worry guys, we will still refuse to block on wakeup.

Maybe just a translation missunderstanding, not sure with all the different versions around,
but the added hp.tk recovery frame increase just should change it from 13/12/10/20 to 13/12/11/20 for lp/mp/hp/ex
Oh and hp.tk should be 5-6.

It means it’s no longer qcf x2, it’s qcb x2

I personally dig these changes… The focus attack is a big deal… Shes gonna be a little more lame, but just as explosive. More room for error, less room for shenanigans.

Oh and far roundhouse from a down position is cool

it’s so good now. I can walk forward and AA neutral jumps easier, and I always end corner combos with df+HK now since it does more stun than HP TK.

Not to mention it trades less.

Also, I was able to punish a Yun dive kick and Bison’s slide with Viper’s focus attack in Ultra.

Has anyone tested FTK feint pressure with 4 bars just to see if getting an accidental super was a possibility.

“Possibility”… well. 4 bars? 2 feints? Enjoy your super.
Don’t know the exact time the buffer window lasts but it’s annoying as hell not being able to feint as fast as you want.
I can’t see me ever having 4 bars with Viper - but thanks for the super damage increase.
