Ultra SF2 General Discussion - We need the CPS1 music!

MichaelLee is a tough Violent Ken. He understands how much more dangerous Violent Ken’s mixups are when you also have to worry about his hadoken. I haven’t had a match yet where I didn’t think, “Wow! Should have thought of that.”

I wish usf2 has lobbies.

lobbies would be great, doesnt seem like there’s enough players for it though. There’s never anyone in casuals

If there were lobbies, im pretty sure there will be more people in casuals…Its exactly the same as Rank, so might well just get something then nothing.

I hate the cage level with a passion, unless they allow the Claw player to control the dismount, how in the hell is that anything but a handicap for Vega? It’s like taking Akuma’s air fireballs away, like WTF

It was a huge oversight on capcoms part. “Oh hey lets do this nostalgia thing on Vega’s stage”. lol.

It really should be a different command.

He’s pretty good but he depends a lot on the warp, at least when I play him.

I think they should change the current Violent Ken to Shin Violent Ken and make a more nerfed version the selectable one. He is pretty godly as-is now.

If I could change only one thing about Ultra Street Fighter II, the cage climb in Spain would definitely be it.

And for the record, whenever fighting a Vega player I always make sure I don’t pick Spain stage. There’s nothing beautiful about either player not being able to play their best.

meh im not going to cry over Vega…Only thing that needs changing & hopefully if ever gets release in the other consoles is the lobby system. Had my best gaming experience during Hyper Fighting & HDR lobbies that i would play hours & hours everyday…Talking shit, discussing strats, or just shooting the breeze. Also love watching the matchup studying my opponent & the constant different players joining…This is what made the difference between console vs ggpo/fightcade.

It is weird that HF and HDR (even SF4) had great lobbies and capcom would just forget about it.

How’s the SF5 lobby?

MichaelLee is alright, but his attitude sucks (you can just tell) and he runs after one win. I sent a friend request to him with my name changed to an insult, and he actually added me lol. I’ll see if he actually sticks around for matches now.

Btw I am SSj4_Ryuk on USF4, mind adding me on Switch? I would love to play a good Dj.

Here’s another fun thing to discuss. Want to know which characters the game’s top online players main in Ultra Street Fighter II? The Nintendo Switch keeps track of the top 100 players online, and I’ve tallied the results.

There are as many Zangief specialists than there are Akuma specialists or Boxer specialists, and only two Sagat mains in the top 100. This game is nothing like ST at all.

So I was playing Balrog vs V.Ken last night. Fired a super, it gets blocked, and the guy SRK’s after the 4th blocked hit and fully connected. The Balrog super did not have the trademark slowdown after the 2nd or 3rd hit that usually happens near a corner. Never seen that once before. Also notice people getting hit with MP HHS when I’m playing Honda, taking one or two hits and then SRK’ing out of the next hit. That seems a little more plausible since the HHS doesn’t combo into itself but it is also something I haven’t seen before in ST.
