Wesker is top tier. He’s easy as fuck, does great damage, has no debilitating weaknesses, can zone AND rushdown (which is usually enough to be top tier in any game in and of itself), and has synergy with the entire cast. Any team he’s on automatically has UNBLOCKABLES. Seriously, anytime u put him on a team, you automatically have GGXX Eddie at your disposal. Let’s just accept it and move on.

Sagat doesn’t need lows is the point Chris. In any incarnation really, ST,SF2,4,Alpha,CvS2.
Cable had lows too, but you rarely see someone win from one in a high level match.
I was just saying the end game strategy doesn’t use that particular part of his game.

Jarv if you get a good rush going on with Modok lots of low ad.B’s and spit->fastfly S’s then I get a ton of people that turtle up blocking high and the 15f low hits more frequently than you would think.

Also, I should have prefaced my d.M being a low comment. The second part IS the low part but you can use it like a low if you spit behind em or as they get up or as they roll either way, they have to block low as they rise. The corner unblockable is just knocking em down then spit immediately and flight cancel a S as an overhead. Its super cheap. But, you prolly know that.

Doom talk…How do I more accurately take people to the corner with Doom. I can hit footdie combos for days in the corner, but in the open they are questionable how do you guys do them from full screen? (I have no problem with air dashing after S’s or whiffing M’s). Like what exact notation do you guys use from mid screen?

Mid Screen Combo that i do with doom.

c.L->c.H->S->sj.m->foot dive addf->sj.M->c.M->cH->S->s.jm->foot dive addf->sj.M->c.M->c.H->S->sj.M->sj.M->foot dive->sj.m xx photon array.

This combo COULD lead to the corner of which it easily converts to sj.m->footdive->sj.S add-> s.H loop.

glossary for my notation
foot dive -Forward Heavy
addf- air dash down forward
add- air dash down

Basically, the Buktooth loop. If you wanted to you could land 2B 2C xx Sphere Flame instant DHC (you don’t want to let Sphere Flame go too far) into MODOK Hyper Battering Ram. You could aim that to get them to the corner but you’re using two meters + they could air tech forward :\

I’ve seen clock do ground magic series launch, j.B j.B j.6C j.S V tri dash 5C OTG launch and loop that to get to the corner.

Double post, but for good reason: looks like Makoto got some hidden buffs, namely more frame advantage from her backthrow and a better dash. HAHAHA.

This means no more (or at least far less often) whiffing a Karakusa when I dash to get in.

NAw you guys are missing the point of my post. I’ve been doing Buk’s loop since day 3 of Vanilla (I played Doom before you bandwagon fags). I want to do the mid screen otg loop mid screen. Its possible. Shadyk and Clock were doing it consistently. Should be similar to m,m,f+C, S in the air…

And my damn standing fierce completely whiffing after connecting with a jump-in! Also, wasn’t respecting those good Hawk DP’s, they kill a lot of crossup setups.

So if the KoF netcode becomes playable I will definitely buy that game. As for now…still the best!

Can’t lie, I picked up Doom once I realized there was a team of dudes chillin’ in chairs before battle. However you *did *ask for a corner carry combo and Buk loop is pretty decent for that. I’ve been trying to do the combo in question (j.M j.M j.f+H j.S land OTG 5C etc.) but I’ve had the j.S whiff a lot. I’d say try booting up a WNF archive or wherever Clock’s been playing and watch his shit closely.

So next Friday (as in 8 days from now) I’ll actually be able to play some games rofl. I’m sure some dudes here are looking to prep for the tournament in Jax?

I actually have a question about that: Is anyone going that has some extra space in their car/trunk for a duffel bag and monitor? I was gonna see if I could catch a ride to the tournament from one of y’all and I’d just go home for break after (my parents would come pick me up from UA) the tournament. If anyone can fit me and my stuff I’ll gladly pay more than my share of gas money as a token of my (and my parents’) gratitude. Let me know!

We’ve been playing KoF the past 2 Tuesdays, along with multiple times during the week. Which will include 1 hour from now. So uhh…I’d say people want to get down.

@Drew: I have my last final on Friday from 3-5pm so I’m not sure if that’s going to interfere with your schedule. Also, I’d be bringing a huge full duffle/my backpack/a monitor cause I’ll be going home to my house in St. Aug. So I’d have to make sure there’s enough room for all my stuff :\ if you can handle these two requirements that’s sweet but if not I totally understand!

Anyways the Clock Combo goes wall to wall, so its preferable to the Buk combo IMO. (Although buks is more damage).
I figured it out though, wasn’t hitting the M’s early enough.
