Hsien-ko isn’t the only character with an animated idle or crouch stance. Felicia’s is also all over the place, a few other people as well I think.

You play Wesker so you are most likely biased as fuck on this topic. Broaden your horizons a little bit and you might find it rewarding to have to put in a little effort.

Wesker’s reward off of an air throw is decent but the real stupidity is Viper and because of DHC glitch Magneto.

With Viper she takes a lot less scaling than she should from just about everything so she can hit massive damage off of throws, air throws, etc and move the corpse to the corner for scarier stuff on the incoming character.

Magneto should kill any character he throws since he gets to hit 320Kish then DHC glitch into full damage from someone who will actually be allowed to do damage and to make matters worse it’s meter positive thanks to how much gauge he builds.

I’m very happy he won’t be breaking 1.2 million off a throw without X-factor any more… Hopefully…

Ok, since we’re taking it the jackass route:

Increasing the minimum height on air throws is stupid as fuck as lots of characters rely on quick air throws to escape pressure. It’s also very important when applying mix-ups both to characters coming in and to people too fond of chicken blocking. Quick air throws are an important part of the Rushdown/Defense game. You’re taking that out simply because you fucking suck at teching.

Change it to 2 buttons: Please, first of all, tell me which two buttons you’d use for this. After that, tell me exactly how this would benefit the game. So you could have people mashing on throws like you have on SF4? Sure, except in this game, throws are 1 frame and have no whiff animation, so that shit is pretty much unpunishable without sacrificing your pressure game.

Add a whiff animation: I’d be KIND OF with you on this, if it didn’t require the previous point to happen as well.

As for horizon broadening, maybe you should play a character like Wesker, Magneto, Doom, Taskmaster or Wolverine to better understand the importance of air throws staying mostly the way they are (except some things that make them sometimes too easy to land, like the Diagonal option select thing, and the weird ranges).

yeah, he’s salty for some reason. He’s a good player (I’ve seen matches of his before) but for some reason he thinks we should all be playing shitty-ass characters and feeling the pain of being limited. Either that or he feels every character that is good right now, should be gimped the fuck out.

Duck isn’t saying to drop Wesker. He’s just saying to try out some other characters, then come back to Wesker after having played characters that don’t have a good j.H to fish for air throws with.

He’s also saying “You play a character that benefits from air throws, so you need to shut up and let the big boys talk.”

Haha, I can see what you mean now. However, doesn’t Duck run Spencer/Task/Doom, a team in which each character can self OTG after their air throws for good damage?

I dunno, I only saw some matches of some alternate team of his. That doesn’t really mean anything though. he can use it and disagree with how it is (like me using Wesker and thinking his health is too high/magneto’s Disruptor was too fast)

I use Wesker and I know he is bullshit, but I won’t stop playing him just because of that lol

The real bullshit airthrow is Wolverine’s. Wesker looks like a child airthrowing when you see Wolverine doing it.

The worst part of Wolverine’s air throw is that the animation take such a long time. Real momentum breaker.

And I like playing him just as much. People must stop thinking that just because you play a high tier character you’re tier whoring.

ok then he should just be able to blow up half the cast…wesker’s guns, in his heart, dante’s weapons, impaled his own body, arthur just in chunks, sentinel LOL…
And shuma gorath could kill any team by himself without blinking…
and phoenix wright would lose from one punch from Ryu…

the point is canon=gameplay. Either make Magneto the rushdown king that hes known for, that hes been, and that is more fun to watch and play as, or make him a zoning character and take away all his awesome tridashes, loops, gravity squeeze combos, etc. You dont get both.

If magnus gets both then I say Akuma gets a disrupter type hadoken and his shinkuu has pillars coming from the ground that fly across the screen.That sounds fair.

Oh and Arthur can tridash and his H has no start up or recovery so he can loop ROM with is H then finish in “For The Princess” lvl 3. When hes not being a god of zoning, of course.
