Thor and dorm are slow?? I mean I guess so if your talking about walk speed but besides that they both have above average mobility

compare to other character doom is fucking slow he is a powerhouse in the right hands.
Airdash is fast he’s strength is high and low mix up with a bit of cross up.

Dooms mobility is pretty much very good as is Thors they just dont travel the way the braindead characters do.

Phoenix’s air special nerf, no question.

Phoenix is fine, nerf Hsien Ko.

Being able to switch character via TAC is not really the major benefit, since you don’t get to choose who to switch to, and if you want to switch to the third member, you have to perform TAC twice, which is a pretty risky thing to do if your second member is near death.

Besides, if the whole point of TAC is to switch member during a combo, you can very easily just finish a full combo and hard tag afterward (flying screen or not).

The hitstun reset part and meter gain, however, are the big rewards.

It would be a lot more balanced if doing b,f,d would cause the meter gain or loss, and cause a flying screen soft knockdown. That way, up results in more damage, and the other commands just end the combo.

You do get to choose who Scirocco, it will default to the next person in line but if you summon them as an assist pre-launch then you have the chance to TAC into the other character instead.

Compared to Magneto or Wolverine, yes, Doom is fucking slow, but it’s not like most of the cast are Magnetos or Wolverines.

His airdash wavedash and flight-canceled Foot Dive both let him cross the screen fast (With the down-back airdash giving him excellent retreating capabilities too). He has air M and crouching L for good ranged, fast pokes. Dash-canceled normals make his close-range pretty safe, and he completely shits on advancing guard with his airdash.

That doesn’t sound like a slow character to me.

Are people forgetting that we’re playing marvel here? When you can kill a character you do it. Risking a TAC is risking not killing a character and risking that the character might come back to haunt you.

You’re definitely correct, however (off the top of my head, untested) if you start the combo via A2 (say, sentinel drones or lariat), which I dare say is not at all uncommon, then you’d be forced to TAC into the second member before TAC again to the third (again, I’m not entirely certain you can do 2 TAC if an assist was called).

Yeah you can. I start a lot of combos off of Tron assist and then TAC from Ammy to Tron just fine.

As a Hsien-Ko player - on point, mind you, not just as an assist - I honestly get offended when someone suggests that Hsien-Ko needs to be nerfed and they aren’t trying to be funny or ironic. Anyone who sincerely feels this must just have it out for the character (as Capcom seems to) or haven’t actually tried to use her as a character.

Play as her sometime and realize just how difficult it is to win with her against literally any other character and a player who is of at least average skill. Directly compare her gold armor assist to similar “get off me” assists like Tron Gustaff Flame or Haggar Double Lariat and you’ll quickly realize how much better those assists are, and how easy it is to lose the Hsien-Ko as an assist to random supers.

Nothing about Hsien-Ko is overpowered. If anything, the deck is painfully stacked against her versus the entire roster. That charm she wears on her face may as well be a handicapped placard.

Does herp a derping with Senpo Bu (sp?) disable Hagger and Tron? I dunno if they can do anything about that unless they have someone decent timing, if that. I wouldn’t know cause I RARELY play Hsien Ko, but herp a derping with Senpo Bu (Again, sp?) usually takes out 1-2 characters. Or maybe it’s cause I’m forever stuck in low rank. :frowning:

Calling in gold armor Hsien-Ko to swing away will beat Tron/Haggar assists, but at the cost of Hsien-Ko taking massive damage from the trade. Test it sometime. She may beat them, but she gets wrecked for it and they barely get scratched. You have to be tactful when using her or else she will end up very dead very quickly.

Edit: If using Hsien-Ko on point, Sepun-Bu will lose to Haggar and Tron every single time unless Hsien-Ko has her gold armor power-up, in which case she beats everything due to hitstun prevention. However, she still takes full damage, the power-up only lasts 5 seconds, and she doesn’t build any meter while it is active. Rimokoun comes with the same penalty that Devil Trigger and Berserker Charge have, only it lasts half as long and is arguably far less useful than both.

I wasn’t talking about using her as an assist, or using her against an assist. But then again, I read your post wrong. I swear I’m dyslectic…
