I laughed so fucking hard. So much that I almost forgot to reply to Mr. Short Shorts.
Listen here Shorts. You and I? We ain’t friends, we ain’t even pals. We’re a breed of a different kind. The kind that look at each and say, “Hey, I don’t like that guy over there.” to our pals. I ain’t be liken’ yo showts, and I certainly ain’t be having you calling me Mustache Man. Do I look like I have a mustache to you? No, no I don’t. Dey call me Mustachio cause I grow my pride in places you ain’t even wanna be seeing. So get yo facts straight homeslice!
You be hatin’, I be saying, “Is All o Nutin’.”
By the way, everything I wrote was meant in good spirits. I hope you didn’t take offense.
i think any character that relies on x-factor may not be such a good character considering like half of the people who play the game apparently do not like it and think its broken and needs to be gotten rid of nerfed etc.
a character that needs a tool that makes everyone powerful is not so powerful.
Yeah, but the whole XF2-3 deal worries me too, considering higher levels of X-Factor are also getting hit with the nerf bat. And yeah, any really good zoning character with a good flight mode will beat Felicia pretty easy. I don’t fear Dormammu, Sentinel, Arthur, etc., but if I see Phoenix, Storm or Trish, I know I’m going to have to kill them with my other two characters or I’ll basically be forfeiting the match.
Whatever, doesn’t really matter. I’ll make her work regardless. I’ve used Felicia on point pretty successfully in some cases, so if it needs be, I’ll do it again.
The way in which X-Factor helps a character out is not equal. (At least that’s the way it is in Vanilla MvC3) Amaterasu, Hulk and Thor in X-Factor 3 is not getting buffed anywhere near as much as Felicia, Wesker and Chun Li do in X-Factor 3. In a game where mobility is usually the biggest indicator of viability, anyone who gets a significant speed boost in XF3 is worth using with XF3.
X-Factor is a tool. Maybe some people hate it, but to ignore a tool’s obvious benefits just because it’s ‘broken’ is broken logic in and of itself. I personally hate Team Aerial Exchanges with an absolute passion, but I still focus on ways to work it in to my game plan.
And it’s not that Felicia is worthless without XF3… it’s just that she’s so much more powerful with XF3 that there’s no reason NOT to use it. It’s like comparing Dark Phoenix to XF3 Dark Phoenix - sure, you can win without using XF3, but why take the chance?
What kinda dude wearing short shorts get made at another dude for pointing out his poor fashion sense? Hulk in suit + tie = I would play him in a heartbeat.
More salty topic related: Sadly, Nemesis does look like a superior hulk. Here’s to hoping that Viper looking charge attack helps the big guy out.
For real she wasn’t really a problem it was X factor that made her beast and even then if they slipped up she’ll get destroyed. A lot of the nerfs are looking like they were knee jerk like Sent getting his life nerfed when nobody really uses him on higher plains of play. To me Wolverine and Wesker were the only ones that needed nerfs. While the rest of the cast needs some buffs.
Agreed, losing health is about the stupidest concept ever because we all know Capcom’s philosophy on health. The lower that shit is, the more overpowered that character is going to be.
I wanted to play these characters anyway! At least now they’ll be viable!
Hopefully.
:’( paragraphs, man. paragraphs.
Look, Phoenix doing one action only in the air is NOT as crushing as it seems. All it means is oh no, you need SKILL to play Phoenix now instead of just super jump, salty balls, teleport BS.
I’m actually looking forward to seeing players having to get creative to use Phoenix instead of just scrubbing horribly like people do now. I don’t think I’m alone with this opinion.
Problem is, 80% of the cast can’t really answer Storm, Morrigan, Trish, or Magneto essentially doing the same thing. Sure, none of them have teleports, but it’s the angle Lightning Sphere L, Soul Fist L or M, Low Voltage, and Magnetic blast cover combined with Lightning Sphere M/Whirlwind/Soul Fist H/Round Trip/EM Disruptor cover, and each of these characters still has a decent high/low game, and several of them still have good left/rights.
Having to activate flight to manage even two specials leaves her open to a lot of shit now, and further health nerfs are pretty pointless. I think she’ll die in two blocked Hail Storms and a Whirlwind now.
Whatever, Stephen Strange is here, and looks an awful lot like what I really wanted, Phoenix without Dark Phoenix. I am hype.
Also, I am still LOLing at Viper eye beams. Seriously, I hope they dub Onslaught’s “EYE BEAM DISRUPTOR” over it for shits and giggles.
I dont get the idea of nerfing everyone when they’re just going to be replaced by a new top tier char. Then you will make another thread crying about who they should nerf next. The cycle will never end.
Sure Wolve wont be as strong anymore, but who knows maybe Strider is the char you gonna be crying about next in the new thread xD
Well, I was attempting to do the same and I wanted to use something light-hearted such as Hulk’s shorts, but unfortunately, I can see how what I said could be taken offensively.
Needless to say, what’s the point of all this fighting?
You say it like it’s a bad thing. I’d hate more than anything to play Magneto with Hulks health. I think that’s one of the only thing capcom does do right.
