it can be done I’m sure of it , will will have to wait n see really
Hey, I found a little consolation to the airdash change. cr.H is special cancelable in the beta. cr.H>fly or cr.H>unibeam would be a pretty decent zoning tool. It might also turn out to be a good combo starter.
Still gonna play him through and through but I’ve always thought he should have more health than he does currently.
I don’t rage when I press c.H during combos…heck I even do it on purpose a lot lately.

(there are more videos of using c.H in combos in there)
I kinda like the new dash. The slow startup followed by acceleration could allow to pick a side and create off kilter mixups. In theory, it could be a lot like Sentinel’s drone assist. Very deliberate with how you want use it, but flexible enough to cause mixups.
The big issue is that we’re going to have to accept that IM may have to be approached to being used in a different way. Stop thinking about the old way you used use him and complaining that that style can’t be shoehorned into this version.
Very cool find, and the combo seems quite easy to hit compare to autopilot or hard fly combo. Just gone through all your vids on Vimeo. Great stuff! Is it possible to extend this combo even more? While i think this is probably the BnB go to combo now, since it’s much easier then other combos so far.

It’s still a shitty move.
… i dont know about that, its +on block from point blank range.
kei… nice find… i didnt know that c.h could be combo into out of the corner. this means that IM has 3 viable blockstring enders now. instead of just flight and L unibeam cr.H is viable now as well since it can be used to start a combo at point blank… seriously thats pretty nice.
-edit… one other thing i just thought of that will be a slight buff for ironman is that now that xf is available in the air, he can probably cancel iron avenger on block… which will be really good as it will be a way in in those moments and it will also allow im to guess pokes without fear… kinda like combofiends spencer… definitely expensive, but i think we’ve all cursed capcom for not having this available in 3…

I’m pretty sure you can XFC Iron Avenger on block currently…
According to Chindogg, UMvC3 Iron Man can do multiple (maybe infinite) airdashes without activating Flight first. That could be really interesting, I think.
I really like the idea of Iron Man being able to stay airborne for a long time (if true). Iron Man practically symbolizes flight.
holy shit your right… maaaaaan… i could have swore i tested this out and it wasnt available. feels like it may have been part of a patch… i just updated my system.
but maybe not… maaaan this would have saved me some games had i known
better late than never i guess, thx for the heads up.

It’s no biggie, everyone misses stuff. I usually save my Iron avenger for combo enders, it lets you get some damage when you can’t confirm into IM’s stupid launcher.
is there notations for that c.h combo
ive been using it in combos with assits for style like you can get 2 off under certian assits
I’ll make a vid of all the 2C links tomorrow I think. Here’s one I threw together of the basic 2C link.
Problem is they are all hard and very spacing specific.
where did you see this?
I heard it from Chindogg, who played the game at SDCC.
My bad I thought I put up notations for the d.H combos in the video descriptions.
c.L, c.M, s.H, c.H, jf.L, M, d.H, S, (land and immediately) c.M, s.H, S, j.M, M, H, d.H, j.M, d.H, S, (land and dash) H.smart bomb xx Proton Cannon
That should be the one in the first video against Dante.
c.L, c.M, s.H + Spencer up grapple assist, c.H, dash c.M, s.H, S, j.M, M, H, d.H, j.M, d.H, S, (land and dash) H.smart bomb xx Proton Cannon
That one is the basic assist version which I believe to be the smartest way to use the c.H attack in a combo. The video named solo2 is of course more difficult, but it can still be used if you have good execution. The corner stuff doesn’t matter what character you try it against, so you can go to town with whatever you can come up with, and it’ll probably work…while building retarded amounts of meter. I believe the video labeled ‘missile combo ideas’ ends up building roughly 1.9 meters, and does around 560k damage or more.
I am not in the ‘that move is useless’ camp, and I think that if we put our collective minds to it, we can find some VERY good pressure, reset, and mixup options off it. It just seems way too good to not use it more, especially since you recover so quickly after doing the move…and I don’t remember, but doesn’t it cause some chip damage too?
I guess I should’ve posted this stuff up a while ago, but better late than never. Now you guys go get to work on how it can be used with your teams! I wanna see more damage potential, but even more so I want mixup/reset options from a mind other than my own!
I also messed around with getting two of them off in a single combo for a few minutes, but I put it on the back burner until I get more out of a single one’s potential.
As for the other standing links (s.L, or s.M), I don’t really like to use them unless it’s maybe the very last hit you 100% have to have to kill. I prefer to use the assist to guarantee the combo gets me big damage no matter where I am on screen, or who I’m up against.
Kei
(I also use my Spencer assist to get a relaunch after a ‘normal’ IronMan combo, or lately I’ve been trying to work in a reset/mixup with that assist after the L.smart bomb)
If this is true, 0_o. Screw double-jump, gimme dem airdashes!
I was asking Capcom about Iron Man if hes going to have some new moves and some other stuff. Mr. S-kill was kind enough to answer.
