Ultimate MVC3 for PC? Interest poll

there should be a 6th option.
6. Yes I would get it ! yarr

$3000? My $700 i5 ati 5650m laptop begs to differ. Sure I can’t do anti-aliasing, but I can run with stages and characters on high detail and everything else set to medium and get 80 fps. So if a $700 laptop can run it I’m guessing finding a $600 PC isn’t unreasonable. Although I admit that I got my laptop for a steal, finding a similar one for $900 isn’t impossible.

Edit: Actually found this 17in. Laptop for $675 that is superior to mine specs wise, but my 15 inch fits in my laptop backpack.

Any wired xbox 360 controller (including a 360 TE) works just peachy without converters. Well here is my AE capable laptop and my portable joystick Lately I’ve been traveling alot, so it sucks that I can’t bring Marvel with me when I’m out of town.

As for an official wire less pad, you need one of those Microsoft wireless controller adaptors that cost about $20-35 dollars. I’d rather get a wired 360 pad for that amount of money.

“Fuck yes” kinda sums up my opinion on the matter. I want to give you my money Capcom, please let me.

Seeing as my 360 bricked? Yes please.

Hey a Pc port means mods, mods mean new skins, new skins mean… NUDE skin.

I am hanbark and I approve this message

Its stupid to port releases to hardware to play it? What?

PC release is the only worthwhile piece of hardware. Theres a reason the PC version of Arcade Edition is sought after for its online capabilities. Less loading times between matches online and a user base of players who are generally less spastic than Xbox Live or Playstation (both these networks are awful). Even when you install games on the harddrive of the 360 your going to get a loading time from a PC from 2005 because thats the specs on modern consoles.

I think this anti-piracy propaganda this generation of gamers are being meant to hork down is turning everyone into retards. Consider this. The Xbox 360 can be hacked to play .isos online. The PC version of SFIV Arcade Edition cannot be played on Windows Live without a retail CDKEY.

The Xbox 360 version of Arcade Edition can be played on XBox live with a pirated copy fairly easily with a modified console.

But because its easier to install the PC warez version for offline single player it is demonized.

Personally I wish everyone would go and buy the AE for PC so Capcom has incentive to release MVC3 on PC. Same goes for MK9 not being on PC these games were designed on PCs and they run AWFUL on console.

PC ftw.

I want it on PC so that we can have mods.

I’d like just so I could practice while at college during my breaks, and so I can hack the game and do a combo video feature a team of the same guy 3 times

Magneto/Dante/Magneto: The combos never end.

I’d love to see people making hacked versions without X-factor and all the “broken” things so I can laugh at them.

Barebones or hardcore mode essentially. Would be interesting too see those matches.

update: UMVC3 online is awful, if you are reading this Capcom you should release MVC3 vanilla for PC so we can show you we have an interest in this game. Also this was an MT project so obviously it runs on PC! Xbox 360 and PS3 both choke this game too much to be a real online game lets be real folks. The FPS spikes below 60 online constantly, input delay and garbled online has not improved enough in this iteration too make it worthy. Sorry but I am not impressed this is a title that demands to be ported to PC. Or at least downscale everything so that it doesn’t suck horribly online! Maybe its because I’m living in North America but one can assume this game runs flawlessly in Asia.

No TACs, no X-Factor, no dark stages, final destination?

Take the megaman X model and make him an actual character? Take the daredevil model and make him a char? Fuck yea.

Reading some stuff here is pretty mind boggling. Are PC’s really that rare in USA compared to consoles? Buying a PC is really fucking cheap nowadays compared to a few years back. And my previous PC, which was like 6+ years old, could run AE on pretty high settings. It’s pretty laughable that some people claim that a MvC3 ready PC would be out of most peoples price range. It’s not like it would be exclusive for people buying high-end gaming PC’s either, since pretty much any normal PC these days could run it without much trouble.

I’m not really sure if I’m going to buy umvc3 or not, as vanilla didn’t really feel playable online, and I had trouble finding people to actually play against. This was on euro PSN. Feels like people dropped mvc3 pretty quick over here. I could be wrong though. I would much prefer to have it on PC, and I’d buy it far more likely than I would for ps3. Compared to other online pc games, fighting games seem to be 10+ years behind when it comes netplay. So it would only be natural to play them on the proper platform for online gaming.

I really hate wondering if online will be playable for every fighting game getting released. Then I’ll also have to add the fear of online being a ghost town, as I live in europe, and fighting games don’t really seem as popular over here. There’s a lot of games I’d buy if I could remove these 2 elements, but it doesn’t seem like things will change. I didn’t have to wonder if online would hold up for competetive play when I bought Quake 3 in 1999, so why am I wondering this in 2011 for fighting games?

I already own it on my 60 GB PS3. I would much prefer to have it on my PC so I’d have a better framerate and no looming threat of hardware failure.

PC gaming in general is much lower in the US than in Europe and Asia. Just think about it this way, most people can’t even operate a TV remote, most people that have been using computers at work every day for 20 years don’t really know how to use them anyway, so to expect them to know anything about anything when it comes the actual costs, or what it takes to game on a PC they are clueless but want to present their opinions as fact. Best to just point, laugh and keep enjoying the games on your platform of choice.

Here is what I don’t understand.

Why would you NOT want other people to enjoy the game you play?

What exactly is the benefit for you by saying “no” to porting a game to another platform?

http://www.capcom-unity.com/marvelvscapcom/go/thread/view/102977/28044181/UMvsC_3_PC_release_request_thread

This is the most popular thread for requesting it. Show your support if you want it.

Typical “I can’t come up with a rebuttal for that one” response.

Anyway having a PC port for this game would be great, for people like me who love to spend hours in training mode but rarely have the time to do so from not being at home often. However I carry a laptop around throughtout my whole day and I do get a couple hours downtime to use it for whatever. Not to mention traveling without having to carry that bulky bundle of cords and console would be very much welcome.

Anyone who’s using piracy as an excuse to not develop for the PC is extremely ignorant. Piracy is just as big a factor on the console market, what with J-tagged 360s and softmodded PS3s.

I’d like to know how people expect to do complicated combos on a keyboard when you’re often times not allowed to press more than two buttons at the same time. If people are willing to get a gamepad controller and config it to their liking, then it would make sense.
