Ultimate MVC3 for PC? Interest poll

no

Hell yeah, not many people play in my part of the world, and PSN here is a joke - It’d be great if this were a steam release.

You are no longer my hero… All hail Chrisis, the mightiest of men to ever hath born from MvC3.

I ended up buying a 360 to be able to play (U)MvC3. I feel so dirty now.

Being involved in game development, I honestly feel most game companies have it backwards. Development should be a priority for the PC and then ported to the other consoles, so that they arent limited by all of the consoles restrictions. The included features would not be lacking if they did it this way. Battlefield 3 had the right idea - give both the PC and console the best versions possible instead of limiting PC’s to what consoles can do.

Needless to say that’s a “Yes” for PC!

no

Chrisis made me cupcakes.
You gave me a swirlie…

Yes.

The PC who’d benefit from easier replay uploads to YouTube as it is much easier to record games on the PC.
Also the steam version culled also have DLC costumes and characters available on stem for people that don’t want to buy Microsoft points.
Wonder if the game dose get a PC version will they add dx 11 or 10 support like lost planet 1 and 2 did. Its the same engine after all.
I suppose it wood improve some of the games special effects and particles and maybe make the stages look more beautiful.

If it’s superior to the PS3 version, SURE.

I would definately take a PC version. that way I wouldn’t have to buy a PS3 or Xbox 360. I’d also be able to play it anytime on the go, and wouldn’t have to turn on the tv to play it inbetween doing work on my computer. YES PLEASE.

I would like Umvsc3 pc release . The only reason this will be a little more playable online. Pc hardware will kinda help the scrubby netcode capcom put in their modern fighting titles .

man stfu! does the thread really bother you IRL? Jesus Christ I swear you guys straight up disgust me with your critique of what’s thread worthy or not. You don’t like the thread, just keep moving.

Back on topic. I wouldn’t mind if it came to PC. Honestly, ALL games would come to PC if it wasn’t for the rampant piracy abuse. I just like how mods come out that allow you to play the games in different ways and what not. And it would be awesome to take the game anywhere you want with you to practice on the laptop.

I would love this. Watching the PC community go wild with skins for Vanilla SF4 and AE has been a blast, and I’d love to see the same thing with UMvC3.

Why would development for PC be a priority when most people cant afford a 3,000 dollar gaming PC?

Now you’re just reaching. Consoles have been the norm for non-FPS/RPG games for the last 10 years at least. AT LEAST.

They might look better or run smoother or whatever the fuck else people are saying but the average person doesnt have a computer suitable for running a game like MvC3 at its highest capability. lol @ it having better netcode…for what? Top players dont play Marvel on PC.

Then what we’re gonna have to get converters for our sticks? Yall need to stop being so ridiculous.

3000 dollars? What are you doing, buying Alienware?

Single player RPGs have been dominant on Consoles since Square Enix started pumping them out on the NES like crack in Detroit. FPS have no place on consoles, the controller just doesn’t do them justice.

MvC3’s graphics can actually be cropped pretty low to run on even the lowest-budget PC’s. Cut the advanced lighting, the shadows, some of the background movement and frame rates would be 60 on the oldest Gateway.

Netcode… Yeah, not many people would play it at first, but give it time (And a steam release) and you’ll see a huge flux of players wanting to play.

A converter? Windows already comes with drivers for any XBox controller to work without hassle. The PS3-USB is a simple driver you download online for free and you get pretty much the same stuff (There’s hardware to make it act like an Xbox controller. I’d have to look around to find it somewhere in the mess of my directories. Works damn well too, made the PC version of Deadspace playable).

Sorry Mustache-io i aint buying it.

The whole point someone wasy trying to make was a PC version is how the game was intended to be seen visually so cropping the graphics down would make all that in vain.

None the less, I think the argument had better legs when people just wanted it on PC. Not because it was more practical, because it aint.

I understand Yah. I personally want it for PC because that’s where my heart in soul lay.

If MvC3 is strictly a console game, that’s fine with me, I’ll buy it on PS3. But that surely doesn’t mean I wouldn’t rather see it on PC. Graphics? Couldn’t care less; gameplay makes the game, not the visuals. Netcode? Alright, it would probably have better netcode since it wouldn’t go to PS3 servers and would be hosted by some top end company. Control scheme? I grew up on a keyboard. Hell, if I could perform input actions with my mouse, I bet I’d execute just as well if not better than my pad.

My philosophy concerning the subject is I want, but don’t expect, nor assume PC to be the better route. Cause let’s face it, Fighting Sticks + PC = Awkward situation, no matter how used to it you are.

$3,000? That’s like $2200 too much for what a self-built gaming PC and like $1600 too much for one you buy pre-built that will run MvC3 beyond maxed out at 1080p at like 150FPS+ (Display not included). Also, the game is on MT Framework, which means they can crank out a PC version in like 2 seconds (exaggerating because they still have to do the PC only configurations and such) because MT Framework is a PC engine to begin with.

So what you’re saying is that genres that never had a strong showing on PC to begin with are standard on consoles… OK, and?

The majority of games are GPU intensive (where massive multi-player games games tend to need CPU power more than anything). A very large number of PCs out there are “gaming capable” by simple adding a dedicated video card (in the $120-160 range). Most games aren’t even using multi-threading on anything more than 2 cores as it is so you don’t even need a quad-core to run them, a dual-core CPU will do just fine (which basically every PC since 2005 has).

Players can’t play a game on PC that isn’t available on PC? Well, damn.

How to get 360 and PS3 arcade sticks to work on PC. Plug them in. Download motionjoy if PS3. Done. For anything else, they’ve been making console to USB converters for a very, very long time now.

Why I want MvC3 for PC? Looks nicer, no framerate drops, shadows don’t look like ass, no fucking jaggies all over the god damn place, custom music, custom outfits, lots of people have their shit hooked up to ethernet cables instead of god-awful wi-fi garbage that console players use (seriously, they should have an option to not be able to play with people on wi-fi), the games run at the display’s native resolution instead of upscaled basura (that’s trash for non-spanish speakers). Oh and because I just like gaming on PC better.

This whole thread is “I want to be able to play UMVC3 on my PC, despite it being a bad financial move on Capcom’s part, knowing ahead of time their PC fighter ports don’t generate enough money. DO YOU GUYS THINK THEY SHOULD MAKE IT?!?!”

Its a bad idea

It shouldn’t happen

If it does happen it won’t do well

either way the same people will be asking for sfxt pc port a few months later.

I don’t make threads asking for wii ports, you shouldn’t make threads for pc ports. (you see the comparison? its because they’re both stupid ideas)

This post is pretty ignorant lol.
