MODOK is the shittiest character in the game in my opinion. I’ve tried playing him and I just can’t get feel him as a good character. I got the hang of she-hulk and she seems interesting paired up with Haggar. Luckily I’ve only come across this one guy using MODOK and was able to get that trophy. ON a side note, the online connection is just horrible, you can’t seem to connect in rankings for some reason only after several tries.
I think MODOK is decent, although a bit predictable gameplan-wise. Takes some getting used to. It’s almost second nature to push u/f or u/b, and with MODOK putting yourself in normal jump space (his kind, anyway) doesn’t generally seem to be a good idea.
You do have to really cube it up to get somewhere, evidently. And use the hell out of the air dash - he needs it.

My main team is Thor, Dante and Mags but I rotate with Hulk, Taskie, Doom, Haggar and Skrull
At this point, I don’t think I would even want to bother trying to learn how to use that big round head of his. If anything good out of MODOK it would be his supers and that shield but that’s it. I will make another attempt at learning his moves later tonight but he looks as good as dead in my book.

Thanks EZ and EricGG. I checked the link you provided, but I didn’t see anything specific to hooking up for online games. What I saw had to do with actually meeting up in person in halls and gaming away. Dunno if I’m ready for that yet

yo im in san diego(escondido) add me online we can play, even though i hate this game so far, but ill keep playing it see if it grows on me, but the online experience has been horrible. i think i spent like 15 minutes yesterday trying to play in ranked matches and shit only managed to find one opponent which was laggy as fuck. and wtf is up with the no spectator shit in casual matches. this game has done nothing but piss me off these last two days.
GGs to Sok again. Finally getting better with Chris and Spidey is getting much more mobile. Still dropping too many combos though. If anyone wants to face my Spidey Chris Ryu let me know. I’m up for some good games.

Hey Tio, try changing the Language to English. It helped me A LOT in getting matches quickly in Ranked. Spectator mode will come soon with the patch, so until then, I’m avoiding the lobbies (unless I get invited to one). Hopefully it grows on you though. I felt the same way when MvC2 first came out, but it grew to be my (current) favorite fighting game.
GGs HG-10. I need to figure out how to deal with your Chris and catch Spidey. Chris is becoming the MvC3’s version of MvC2’s Blackheart for me :(. I’m dropping way more combos than you though, lol. Random snapbacks ftl.
On another note. Is anyone else having problems with Ranked like me? I’m close to being a 5th LORD, yet even when I put the search to same rank, I get like 29 out of 30 guys who are of Beginner, Amateur, or Fighter rank >.<. I’m getting hate mail like crazy now. It’s great for lols, but I want to face beasts like SHIN_MEGIDDO_X, not beginners who can’t handle my rushdown.
