They don’t see a serious character because they can’t get past the appearance and name. To most, a serious character is all dark and stoic and either carries a big sword, is very stoic or wears something leather.
If any of them bothered reading the source material with an open mind, I doubt they’d ever compare him getting added with Kobun.
I think you are though. Your complaining that the cast isn’t made up of all serious, stone cold, muscle bound dudes. I think you need a little bit of alone time with Stratoforce, help you understand what you really want. I think it’s clear to the rest of us, now you just need to come clean to yourself.

10 GREAT new characters to add to MvC3! I for one think they are actually lucky that they leaked the roster, me and my brother for sure have easily been able to deal with the fact that they put Vergil and Iron Fist on because they put Nemesis, Frank and Rocket Raccoon on!!! They’ve totally over shadowed any disappointment that Vergil has brought to the roster!
Seriously, I’m questioning the quality of taste in a lot of fans, actually requesting Vergil and Iron Fist and then hating on Rocket Raccoon and Nemesis?! I can’t wait to start smoking some ass online with Rocket, Frank and Nemesis most of all.
If UMvC3 had a legit poll for Marvel and that they would truthfully add that one who won the highest,none of yall will be picking Rocket Raccoon believe that stop fronting and drinking expired milk and pretending its still good.

Anyway Im hype as hell. Firebrand looks gdlk as hell. And Strider is, well Strider… And just to piss you haters off, Imma put Rocket Raccoon on one of my teams and win next year’s EVO with him (if I got the money to go lol).
The only pet peeve I got was the fact that they decided to wait on Spectator mode until Ultimate Crack. Didn’t they say they were going to do that for Vanilla Crack?

As I said, I don’t care for Strange or Ghost Rider. On Capcom’s side, I could care less about Virgil and Firebrand. Be happy with what interests you and move on instead of complaining that every character isn’t your style or fit your definition of what a character should have.
I love it, lol. I dunno when they decide who does and doesn’t make it the decision is usually cut between popularity and potential play style. You have to at least see the thing in action before passing judgement, even then it’s not enough. How many people cared about She-Hulk before Combofiend stepped in? I get a little annoyed with the Phoenix wright fans because he’s purely in there for fanservice, but if he ends up bringin somethin new to the table, I’ll make peace with it. I kinda feel bad for Venom/Gambit fans, but nowadays with DLC they may just be keeping them to squeeze money out of you later. It’s not hopeless. Anyway, here’s hoping that Nova fights like Talbain on roids…
