ULTIMATE Marvel vs. Capcom 3 - OFFICIAL

Ok so there is no reason anymore to keep MVC3. When this comes out everyone is going to play ultimate because of the phoenix nerf. Gotta sell my copy while it’s still worth something! We shall see how long this game stays fun, MVC3 was fun online for couple of weeks but then sentinels, spammers and phoenix’s rose and ruined it, offline is only fun if you have friends because capcoms mighty idea to add dlc shadow battles and events for offline play EXCEPT you can’t play them offline -___-

Also I’m happy for the new characters finally getting into game and re-balancing is needed (that’s why I don’t play MVC3 online anymore) but somehow this whole ultimate feels pretty meh I hope it’s good because I liked MVC2 and MVC3 had potential but still not sure if I’m going to buy this anywhere near release date.

PS. This should have been DLC!

il be selling mine too, probably tomorrow i dont really mind paying for another retail disc, as what CTG posted, i still feel kind off bad for the late tsunami victims. if it helps il support them in buying UMvC3 on nov sure cop

You are entitled to your opinion regarding nemesis, but the bolded part is just not a good argument considering sentinel is one of the most popular characters in this game. I for one would like to see what they do with a bunch of these characters before I cry foul. Rocket raccoon could be the new cable for all we know, whilst novas power(which I didn’t know of prior to last night) could allow for some very interesting hypers(he can absorb energy apparently), and dr strange should also allow for an equally interesting moveset. And if they can make vergil half as unique as dante we will have another deep character to deal with. So far Im impressed, strider looks as badass as ever, whilst firebrand, ghost rider and hawkeye all seem to have something unique to their gameplay.

Just because Sentinel sucks doesn’t make it ok for them to include other sucky “characters.” I’m not gona bitch endlessly about him before seeing his gameplay because he could very well be unique and alot of fun. However, I still think the case stands that out of the entire Capcom universe Nemesis was an odd (at best) choice for this game. If you ignore the “he isn’t a character” point that I made, the rest of the argument still stands.

Nemesis is a character though. He’s a single entity with a name and a personality. You misunderstand why Sent isn’t a character. He isn’t a character because there is no single Sent, but a slew of them on a manufacturing line. It would be like if we didn’t get Super Skrull but just a “Skrull”. That’s the issue people have with Sent, and that’s not applicable to Nemesis at all.

I agree in that regard, yes nemesis was an oddball character to include, but at the end of the day my point with the sentinel post was that a characters origin is completely irrelevant if the character himself has limitless depth. I mean this is a fighting game first and foremost.

what we can bash is that capcom charged us $70 to play a beta, then not even a year after they want to sell the game again AND jill & shuma are still DLC , that’s a new level of milking the suckers who bought the first game.

I’m giving them a pass since the earthquake wrecked the DLC release schedule. Niitsuma said Ultimate is half DLC content and half new stuff (buffs, nerfs, system changes, etc).

Apparently people wanted Nemesis in, as they addressed his addition early in development but said he was “too graphic” for the franchise.
More like, they didn’t finish his graphics. I personally I’m happy with Nemesis. I liked the scenes with him in RE3 and I’ll be excited if he has an
effective playstyle in Mvc3.

This is have to agree with, that is some bullshit. They probably did it to prevent salt for the people who actually bought them in the original game. I can see no other reason really, why give us strider in the game(the person everyone would definitely pay for) and still charge for jill.
