Yeah, I never said people couldn’t post their opinion. Mostly I was saying that they’re taking up their issues with the wrong people, and it bugs me.
If someone hates this game and doesn’t want to buy it, fine, that’s up to them, but why don’t they do shit about it? Why do they come to me, and other people who don’t agree, and expect to get anywhere by bitching at us rather than at Capcom?
It’s like if your roommate yelled at you for some shit your landlord did. It’s like “So? Take it up with them.”

I want to say that nobody should really be surprised that this game was coming, not only was Ultimate going to happen, but it’s also soarly needed because MvC3 is a seriously flawed game.
That said, I don’t see how Ultimate MvC3 has any chance of success as they are deliberating ignoring input of the fanbase, and that’s probably going to spell doom for the game.
In a world of DLC, there’s no excuse for forcing players into a disc only update. No matter how “cool” you think Rocket Racoon is, there are literally thousands of other marvel characters that could have filled that slot better. You can put in all the new online modes you want, but it’s going to be guaranteed that the online userbase will be smaller than vanilla MvC3 because not everybody that brought MvC3 is going to buy UMvC3. I hope this doesn’t get misinterpreted, but every non-top tier character better get a new move if they decided they need to give Magneto and Wolverine a new move.
In summary, the only thing I’m seeing from this update is that Capcom’s interests is leaning more towards make money then making a tournament viable game. Prove me wrong Capcom.
id take the racon over daredevil and venom tbh… i dunno it seems they could never please everyone i like how they listened to the community on some names i read all the time on sites (phoenix wright, dr strange, vergil, ghost rider, and strider) and their own personal choices, gives the game some variey and if i worked on mvc3 i would like to have my personal choices matter , instead of rehashing all mvc 2 characters.
p.s. megaman sucks in crossover games even if he makes it to dlc i wouldnt buy him.
It just seems like a lot of people are just dismissing Rocket Raccoon because they see him as a Niitsuma “lulz - i trolled u” character. There’s a reason why people who know about the character are excited - he’s a legitimate cool character.
If/when we see gameplay of him and you still don’t find him interesting, then your viewpoint can be considered valid. However right now, it seems those viewpoints are more of a result of saltiness than anything else.

Nemesis has me baffled. Like, completely baffled. How did his name ever get brought up, let alone taken so far that he would be put in the game?
He isn’t even a fucking character. He has no story, no personality. Nothing. He’s just a monster that stalked you in ONE game, TWELVE years ago, from a series that already has THREE representatives. And to top it off, RE3 is probably one of the most unpopular enties into the main series. Marvel side of the roster looks lame to me, but in all fairness I don’t read comics so I really only know the Xmen and there are already alot of them in this game. The capcom side makes me really disappointed though. Word that X factor appears fairly unchanged also really disappoints.
Edit: Just so I don’t seem like too much of a hater, I’m a huge RE fan, and RE3 is probably my favorite of the “classic” era RE games. But fucking Nemesis?

To put it simply, he’s a BA, artillery toting, wise cracking raccoon. That’s what makes him a legitimately cool character. Read Guardians of the Galaxy, Annihilators, War of Kings - any recent major cosmic Marvel arcs.
That makes me wish Blastaar made it in too. Seeing as how he was one of the Guardian’s biggest enemies.

its basically pikachu on meth. idc if even has a nuclear war head hidden somewhere in his nut-sack, he still definitely LOL’sy move from marvel side. i would sooner buy TOAD from xmen as DLC thats worth 10usd just to put him ontop of Rocket Raccoon’s face, so i can have a better excuse for a roster.

Yes I know Rocket Raccoon is a legitimate (serious?) character in the Marvel comic books, but I want to know exactly what Rocket’s appeal is to audiences to justify him talking up a very precious marvel slot in UMvC3. I thought maybe he’d appeal to Marvel fans, but I’ve checked out a lot of forums and a lot of Marvel fans are angry with him being in this game also, possibly even moreso then capcom side, as a lot of good marvel characters have gotten the shaft in this game already.
Now I’m hearing that they might save the high profile Marvel/Capcom characters for DLC, and that sounds like a good idea… if you’re trying to piss people off.
@Infantowl thank you, that was the kind of info I was looking for. Maybe I’m nitpicking but there’s already tons of marvel characters that fit that description, and Deadpool himself is already in the game. Oh I missed that comment about Toad, that was hilarious.
Is he different? Yes, of course. IMO it’s a much more interesting addition than Daredevil, Venom and even Bishop who I was excited about (since a clue did point to him). I wanted Ms. Marvel - didn’t get her. Dust - didn’t get her. Dani Moonstar - not her either. It’s not that RR was on my dream roster and it suddenly came true - I’m just not crying over spilled milk. This is what we got and instead of pissing and moaning, I’m appreciating what they’re trying to do - introduce some cool lesser known characters.
And yes, I do agree that a lot of the popular requests are hopefully going to end up as DLC. People will be mad and then they’ll buy them because their need of gratification is greater than the need to stick it to Capcom. If you play Capcom games, you need to expect 2-3 versions of each fighter they release. You need to expect DLC. That’s how Capcom does business. Been that way since SF2. I don’t see why people complain and complain - just to subject themselves to it again. You accept it or walk away. Complaining about it is pointless.
