Capcom are taking the piss as usual, and yes, I’m still going to buy it. I didn’t cancel my pre-order for MVC3 when I heard (a week before release) that the “robust online system” was lacking spectator mode, y’know, basic shiz cuz they said they would patch it in. Turns out, they didn’t give a shit, but oh look, as if by magic UMVC3 is going to have spectator mode, “This is some DLC I’m willing to pay for!” oh wait, it’s a disc release, so yes, I will buy it cuz of spectator mode (seriously, the best reason) but Capcom are pissing me off royally.
Some of the new characters look cool, alas none of the ones I wanted in (apart from Strider) got chosen.

Yes and ? This Marvel had nothing to do with Legends being canceled. Saying that MvC3 hurt the chances of Legends coming out is like saying that Asura’s Wrath is stopping Monster Hunter 3 for the ps3 coming state side.

Err, no? We got Strider, Phoenix Wright, Firebrand and Dr.Strange correctly, and if we backtrack to some of the old hints like the “one character will make you hype, the other will make you scratch your head” - the latter probably applies to the Rocket Raccoon - it all makes sense.

I meant that at least according to the guy from Capcom, it was apparently lack of fan involvement that killed MML3. MvC3 obviously has nothing to do with the cancellation. from the Capcom website:

well for me, i was kind of disappointed at 1st knowing megaman and venom still didnt make the cut, but i guess theres always going to be change through out the years and u have to get wit the times. if i may, amoung the 12 characters revealed i only like 6 of them (ghost rider, strider hiryu, vergil, iron fist, nova, nemisis) the other 6 are i guess “good” but not exactly the best they could have gotten, but never the less “good”. but real talk i aint gona touch that raccoon character thats forsure, i probably would but just to finish his story mode and thats pretty much it.
As for the “OMGZ CAPCOM GREEDY BASTRDZ” comments, two things:
1 - Capcom is a business. Businesses need money to run. People need money to make more games. And yes, execs can be greedy. If you actually cared enough to take it up with them instead of random people on SRK, I might respect your stance on the matter. Me, I’ll be enjoying the work the artists, animators and programmers put into making such a fun game.
2 - Nobody is forcing you to buy this game. On a similar note, no one here cares whether or not you buy it. I like how people come onto SRK and pretend they’re talking to Capcom, saying “Capcom, I’m not buying this game” like they expect a dude named “Capcom” to post a response saying “OH NOES!!! NOW I HAVE NO MONEYS!!” I gotta be honest with you, I just care that I’m gonna enjoy this game. I don’t give a shit what you do. Posting that on here is virtually the same as saying “You’re all sheep, I’m better than you lololol please notice me”. No one cares.
It’s hard for Mega Man fans not to get the feeling Capcom is sticking the franchise on a bus. It’s not just that they cancel MML3, but that they canceled it and then they had a chance to win some good will back by announcing Mega Man X in UMVC3, they say “Nope. This is the first MVC game without Mega Man, and dammit we’re keeping it that way!”
I wonder if Marvel demanded multiple iterations of this, like how they demanded Shuma to be DLC. . . I guess we’ll never know the full demands they placed on Capcom to allow them to make the game.
I’m sure the “engineers” at SRK will do up the PS3 game disc of UMvC3 and find that most of everything is on disc. Also expanded slots for DLC this time. Jut a matter of time.

It is called an Opinion that’s why you see people disagreeing with it!. I mean this is a product where people can be bitch and moan because they did buy the game and feels gyped from the backlash of Capcom. Also, no one wants to be notice as there are other people on here who disagree with the matter. But then again it’s your Opinion…Am I right?
but yea like as earlier stated by me i think eventually i could fck wit the rest of the new comers, but i dont see myself really liking that raccoon dude ever. it will just serve as a reminder that 1 slot was wasted on “LOL” character where we could have had someone awesome instead perhaps VENOM, DOC OC or DAREDEVIL sighs
