it is hilarious, didn’t they nerf charge moves in SSF4 because of turtling? Why have them then… give em a real input. Hell if they are scared of making them to good, do :d::f::df: + attack, jeeze just something other then a damn charge. Too obvious, makes them move more situational then useful, and just a damn annoyance.
finally got my hands on darkstalkers, demitri’s moves fuck with my mind man… fuck with my mind
Reposting from TM section. Why Taskmaster looks almost broken in UMVC3:
Same health.
Same insane damage off of any cr.L or cr.M
Same high chip damage and great zoning tools
Same great range normals
Same great utility supers that have great DHC synergy in any team
Throw into super is still ridiculously stupid damage
Shield skills range increased
New grab move gives him new mixup
Air X factor improves his sniping ability with supers and ground/air throw>super XFC super is gonna be so dumb.
The first time I heard this it was when taskmaster forward dash canceled his shield skills (which keep momentum) in a video. This sends him flying almost full screen. If you back dash and cancel into shield skill, it goes slower and covers a much shorter distance. This already works in MvC3 and it’s pretty ridiculous since you can do silly stuff like fully charged arrows into full screen shield skills and have it connect.
Well, like I said from all of the changes we know of (and only counting returning characters), he definetly looks Top 3 in my book (below Viper and Dante).
So, for those who care and haven’t already seen it, LL.ND came back with a list of Hsien-Ko changes. And yes, it’s mostly new items for her to throw. Whoopee.
Jump-cancelable command normals might help for damage-building, but only if she can follow them up. Which, if he’s not faster, could be hard. I hope they’re not turning her into some kind of novelty zoning character.
EDIT: That first part that I had there… wrong thread.
And by the way, I think the character Nitsuma was talking about was Vergil.
Unless he was talking about gameplay, in which case it could be any of a few possible characters.
Nah, I think he’s talking about Vergil to be honest. He mentioned the character being difficult to design and resembling a pre-existing character. Vergil resembles Dante more than any of the new characters resemble someone, and it’s easy to how it would be difficult to design a character like Vergil when you have so many moves and weapons to incorporate into his play style. But at the same time you have to stay true to Vergil and DMC yet make him different than Dante.
Back to the topic of charge moves: if Capcom can implement button mashing hypers again for Ultimate, then getting rid of charge moves should be no problem.
not when it cripples characters nearly completely to the point of making them damn near unplayable at tournament. how many charge characters did you see get played in MvC2? none, right? dealing with managing your charge on top of crazy shit like tridash pressure and left-right crossups (zerker slash, wesker, strider) is not good. this ain’t street fighter. holding downback in marvel is like saying “hey open me up”.
