yup, just wanted to get it out there that I think charge characters in a super fast game like Marvel are a waste of a character slot. hulk and iirc chun have charge moves and because of that factor alone their projectiles are ass. at least hulk has dat standing :h:
Nah, it looks like they are buffing Taskmaster by quite a bit which is quite an absurd decision, worst of all if Taskmaster is top tier it’s going to make Hawkeye the Yang of UMvC3 and someone that nobody will play if they can play Taskmaster. Among the already revealed characters it looks like Taskmaster and Doom are the strongest, it’s too early to say that they look the strongest in the Comic Con games.
I’m waiting until near release to hear about Doom and Task nerfs. There both excellent defensive characters that many players have shown have great rushdown (Task 5 minutes combos and Doom’s j.M 3 frame normal+tridash is hella good) and with both characters get more defensive buffs…you’d think Capcom would take something away from both of them.
Same applies for Trish and Storm. Both solid B tier characters that don’t need buffs.
The baseline at the moment seems to be Ammy as the standard for what every character should be at balance wise… Wolverine/Phoenix/Dante/Magneto getting slight nerfs make sense, so too is Doom/Task/Trish/Storm getting buffs. Guys like Dorm have both a mixture of buffs and nerfs and it’s hard to see if they are better or worse, but the likes of Spiderman/Tron/Haggar/Iron Man getting big nerfs is absurd.
This would definitely be a wise decision. MK does this and it works perfectly fine. Maybe we could all hound Capcom about it. If ESTAKKA(x10) isn’t a charge, nothing should be in this game.

Charge inputs are too slow in a game this hectic.
And I’m holding out for more clarification of the term “charge”. Could be button input or Gamma
"Charge". A lot of characters are getting new moves mapped to the :s: button so I’d like to see Hulk get a Gamma Charge that utilizes :s: and eats projectiles (and is safe)
