P.S. I asked Kyle about posting this here on the Tech Talk forums intead of the Video Gallery and he said it was okay.
Hey! Keep the grips coming in! And I’ll give them cool names/you give them cool names!! Some people said I should make a second video and if I get 6 or more I’ll make another for sure!
I use a combination of the wine glass and eagle grip. I hold it like the wine glass, with the shaft inbetween my ring and middle finger, but I tilt my hand slightly and move the stick as if I was using the eagle grip, using my fingers and thumb to flick and roll it around. I find the wine glass can feel too floaty and arm involved, as if it takes too much effort (like you’re swirling a glass of wine). I like to keep my wrist resting on the base and allow my hand to do most of the work, taking minimal effort while still executing what I want to.
It is down to what you’re comfortable with though, don’t take these as definitive techniques try them all out and mix and match untill you’re comfortable.
To be honest though, I got my technique simply from practicing, not by studying different techniques. Just stick with it and eventually you’ll find your grip…
I would use The Wine Glass but my knuckles constantly hit the top of the case so its not comfortable.
I don’t use any style within this video, the closest would be The Eagle. Except the difference for me is that both y index and middle finger are touching the ball top while by ring finger is against the shaft. Thumb on the ball top as well, mostly use it for any upward motion and quickly dashing to the left.

Wow, thanks for the video dood. It’ll be my first time using a ball top sometime next week so this is a great video. I’ve always played on American sticks.
