Maybe you are too close to corner if that’s the case you might want to do BC > air dash > j.S

If you’re doing :df::h::h::h: into stinger an what not that tends to happen. Try only doing :df::h::h: instead.

I thought you needed to use :df: :h: :h: :h: to connect a stinger?. Im more concerned about when you have plenty of room before the opposite edge of the stage, and Dante teleports midscreen and the opponent bounces another midcreen away off the far edge of the stage. Doing just :df: :h: :h: should fix that? Its frustrating because that cant be happening, theres no way to convert that

Yeah, lessening the number of shots decreases the float on the OTG and makes the followup Stinger not hit awkwardly which is the cause for Air Trick doing silly things like teleporting you in front of the character being wall bounced (game reads that Stinger as a crossup, hence that result). Another trick if you have the space for it is to back dash after a hard knockdown - Cold Shower (2 shots) - Stinger. You’d get correct positioning.

It’s a height thing. The three shots brings them up to high and as azure said it then hits awkwardly. Just do 2 then immediately cancel to stinger

Anyone wants to help me theory craft a combo? I’m playing Viper (kick / Dante (jam) / Strider (Vajra) and I wanted to know a good combo with Vajra assist. I was thinking dash up s > acid rain > jump up hammer > call strider > million carats > s > repeat acid rain. But I don’t know if scaling will allow it to work. I think I can go into shot loops but I’m uncomfortable with hitting stinger after 3 or 4 reps. I’m gonna have to grind it out sometime but for now I like cold shower > stinger.

So any help would be appreciated.

For all you anchor Dante players. Here is the basic XF3 BnB you should be doing. It’s easy, easier than his day 1 bnb, and the only point you’d risk dropping it at is BC Volcano, yes it’s that easy and it does enough damage to kill everyone off a DT extension. Sorry for the crappy quality and incomplete combos, as I’m limited by the recording function and my phone’s crappy quality.

The basic sequence is the following:
Any hard knockdown from a throw or simply a grounded confirm into:
Volcano, jH xx Air Play, jS, Dash Crystal, Volcano xx BeeHive ground boune jS, dash Crystal, Volcano xx Bee Hive. This does 1.1 million~ off a grounded confirm(you can add a second volcano jH xx airplay if you start it off stLMH into Stinger though and it’ll kill Thor, but the double Volcano jH xx Airplay is affected by HSD)

If you feel it won’t kill you can simply extend it using DT, simply:
Crystal xx DT, jS, Crystal ,Volcano xx Bee Hive(this should kill everyone off a grounded or anti air confirm, but does 1 million off throw confirms)
Crystal xx DT, jS xx Fly, Thunderbolt(xN), - Corner only but kills everything very quickly

It’s important to note that the combo does not work as a happy birthday situation as both crystal and airplay don’t work in happy birthdays, so you can omit both and go for Volcano xx Bee Hives + jS’s directly instead.

Why did I create this combo? Well if you ever played anchor Dante you’d notice that the timing for his shit is completely different, the HSD works completely differently too and it’s hard to gauge when prop shredder will or not work. The other problems with XF3 Dante is occasionally you’ll get an accidental stS when you are trying to do S~H~S(Prop Shredder), timing for Cold Shower is tighter and you’ll get million stab occasionally, Prop Shredder dropping out is highly affected by the combo starter, and although shot loops are a very easy infinite in XF3, they are very awkward to setup. This is a universal combo that’s immune to HSD and works off any hit confirm and does great damage, it’s worth learning if you play Dante and it’s very easy.

The combos all work in XF2 too, just the jS link after the ground bounce is tighter but still very doable.

Happy Birthday Combo that I couldn’t record due to not being able to record both myself and the AI:
st:l::m::h: f+:h:, BC xx Volcano, j:h::s:, volcano xx beehive, j:s:, volcano xx beehive xx Million Dollars. (900k~ meterless, 1.2~ mill with Million dollars and will Kill Thor if you mash hard enough, kills all assists in the game and most without bar).

Is there any way of landing wallbounce stinger when the hitstun decay is pretty high they fall out after cold shower or before clay pigeon D:

My little lazy easymode combo when I don’t need the damage from clay pidgeon loops is blah blah into wall bounce xx BC teleport, hammer, call Vajra -> million carats, volcano OTG xx beehive, beehive xx Million Dollars. With that said, something with acid rain is probably a whole lot better, but I personally pretty much only use acid rain for mixups.

Either way, there should be tons of videos out there with combos for that team. Apparently everybody uses my team (yes, it’s mine -.-)

I can do shot loops I was just trying to stay away from them because right now I’m bad at confirming how close I am to the corner on certain maps. And I’m sure shot loops don’t work in the corner. I figured acid rain would be the next best thing in terms of meter gain, but I don’t know how to get the damage back up. I’ll try some stuff out now and see how it works

Kinda confused by the desired effect you want here. You want something from dash up S xx Clay Pigeon - Prop Shredder - Acid Rain - j.H xx Hammer - [Call Strider] Million Carats? Because the things you’ve described leave the character in a float state that will have them air tech before anything else can reach them if done literally.

As for combos, there’s a substitution for the classic Million Carats extension with Strider where you do [typical Dante confirm to Volcano] - j.H - Air Play - j.H - Dash + Strider - s.S - TK Acid Rain.and pick them up OTG as if you were attempting the corner Sky Dance whiff extension [Volcano - (Acid Rain hits) j.S…]. Since you’re playing Spy May Stride, it’s the first combo in this video:

It was just a combo I was thinking up in my head, since I’m uncomfortable with doing shot loops in a real match, I tried to think of a way to add both the acid rain and the strider assist. I thought doing a basic mid screen acid rain combo into j.c > hammer will give me enough time for volcano (forgot to add this) > million carats > strider hits > s > shots > stinger > ender. I saw your combo before but I was trying to see if I can build more meter than you and without the viper assist (for consistency, I might lose viper)

Gotcha, I’ll see if I come up with anything. The bit you’re inquiring about though with Volcano + Strider - TK Carats isn’t going to work though, the timing is tight and with that much HSD already in play, chances are the opponent’s going to flip out before the TK Carats become active. Even then, that extension is damn near impossible to get a s.S off of post Carats unless you cancel into Devil Trigger.
