?
LMAO I was actually thinking about doing that too
I played the game for like 30 minutes and made that post. I have seen the error of my ways.
Everyone is sleeping on my boy Nemesis. All you need to be good with him is know how to tiger knee and have a good assist. My friends rocking Nemesis+ Iron Fist. The zoning is rediculous, Tiger knee’d rocket launchers are amazing, they also do so much damage, tentacles are the same as ghost rider chain, Iron Fist pushes you full screen and if he hits you you get hyper’d or hit with a projectile, and if Nemesis touches you youre put in a reset situation thats very tough to get out of (Basically you get command grabed or hit by iron fist assist into a combo) or you die because you got hit with some projectiles or something before hand.
People sleeping on Hulkie
Alright, might as well add my two cents in on some of the new characters…
Nemesis: I’ve loved RE3 for years, was overjoyed when I found out he was in the game, and now…HOLY SHAZBOT he is awesome! Damage and super armor everywhere! Sure, he’s got the same speed and size detriments as the other big guys, but if Sentinel and Hulk see their share, big Nemesis will see more than his fair share. I could gush all day about this big lug. He’s so good!
Ghost Rider: He was initially my 2nd favorite of the new cast (outside of Nemesis), until a random match online opened him up and showed some of his glaring weaknesses. However, I still think he’s a bit too good to be written off just yet, and I think he might still be a solid mid-tier.
Phoenix Wright: Another guy I got opened up pretty badly with. It’s still the same case I noticed at NYCC (and people are noticing now): when you focus on gathering evidence at all costs and nothing else, Mr. Wright gets opened up and dies. People have been calling him the new M.O.D.O.K.: The one with a ridiculously large learning curve that stops people wanting to learn him. However, Wright has one thing M.O.D.O.K. didn’t have in vanilla: Fan Favoritism. With the exception of me, RoyalFlush, and the rest of the SRK M.O.D.O.K. forums, nobody really gave M.O.D.O.K. a fair shot because everyone was all “WTF Humpty Dumpty LOL!” However, people (myself included) love the Ace Attorney games, and have been asking for Phoenix Wright for a while now. This, I believe, will be the thing that will make Phoenix Wright top tier. People will want to work with him for the love of the games. Expect greatness soon.
Strider Hiryuu: Only one thought kept going through my mind: Strider is only here for the Strider fans. Not saying he’s bad, but he’s certainly not S+ tier. There is just enough for the people who loved him in MVC2 to be effective. To be fair, I am not one of those people, so weigh that how you will.
Nova: Didn’t do anything for me. I doubt he will do enough for people to make people want to get in the lab with him en masse. This is more when the M.O.D.O.K. factor comes into play. Feels a lot like Captain America in vanilla: solid on paper, mediocre in practice.
Frank West: Sleeper hit of the year! I was working on forming a new team using Viscant’s formula, and I am currently working with a Frank/Task/Nemesis team. I picked Taskmaster for a second using the Maximilian trick to build XP, and found I could level up fairly quickly with Taskmaster in the second role. I can only imagine how much XP you would get this way if someone like Dante or Iron Man is on your team! Level 3 is good, but at Level 4 Frank is a NIGHTMARE! Plus, he seems to be pretty effective at building meter, just like I originally intended. He already found a role on my team (at least for the moment)! If Frank doesn’t end up being high tier, I will be shocked.
Vergil: He seems like Dante with more raw damage and fewer options. Again, if you like that play style, more power to you, I just haven’t found anything spectacular yet.
Hawkeye: I am just starting to experiment with him, and he seems pretty impressive so far. While his Gimlet hyper combo may lack in damage, it makes up for in versatility (a fact we only begun to see in early match videos). Plus, Combofiend has started using him. If that hasn’t qualified him for at least high-mid tier, I don’t know what will.
Iron Fist: Just what everyone was saying: if you can’t get in, you’re dead. If Justin Wong starts using him consistently, expect him to be high tier from that alone. Otherwise, I say mid-tier.
You don’t seem to understand how tiers work
nini how do u do ur scrub rom from ur video j/w. Normal rom feels too inconsistent now.
After a shot of pre-starbase training mode I’ve found that I can still meter positive ToD a lot of the cast with Viper, hooray for not fixing broken shiz despite the meter gain nerf.
I’m pretty sure that he’s saying that that will make people play him. She-Hulk wouldn’t have been AS popular without Justin/Combofiend. Phoenix Wright may be like MODOK, but he has lots of people who will stick with him because they like the character, unlike MODOK, who has three or four people who play him.
It may not be how they’re supposed to work, but that’s pretty much exactly how they work in real life.
I dont know what justin is smoking but he just said that vergil is better than dante on the spooky stream.
That is my team lol!
Thank you, that’s exactly what I’m saying. There is always a difference between what people like and what is actually feasible. I am not one to underestimate the human factor in all this…
I dont know what justin is smoking but he just said that vergil is better than dante on the spooky stream.
you can say that again…
Sorry, double post.
I guess your right, everyone is entitled to his opinion. But still think is absurd.
Justin is the best Marvel player. He is not the best on predicting tiers though lol.
Ghost Rider really needs a vajra assist, he can do anything against people attacking diagonal down. Also franks normals are really good haha
