combo I’m trying to do:

cr :l:, cr :m:, cr :h:, :uf: zip, falling j :m:, land, air :m:, :h:,:s:, :df: zip, land, air :m:, :h:, :s:, :df: zip, land, air :m:, :h:, :df: zip, :df: zip, land, cr :h: xx :h: grapple, TK j.:qcf::m:, j.:s: :f::s:+:atk:, :df::s:+:atk: |> ( :s: jcc) :qcf::h:~:l:, special

I have trouble connecting the :f::s:+:atk: after the j.:s: after the OTG. They flip out after the j.:s: most of the time I try it. When I try that combo ender after a short combo I don’t have that problem.

You have to make sure the TK :m: grapple is a super jump. Also the :s: jc :h: grapple won’t work because of hit stun, gotta omit the :s:.

i’m having problems getting the super jump TK:m: grapple i always get the normal TK:m:. Is der any technique to get the super jump version constantly

Do the :qcf::uf: a little faster so it counts the :d: and :uf: as part of a super jump. When I do TKs I generally do like half circle up ( :qcf::uf::u: ) to ensure I get the super jump.

Just to clarify, you want the super jump because sj.:s: will have far more hitstun than j.:s:. It’s not really about the height. Any time you’re tk’ing it should pretty much always come out as a super jump. It’s much harder to tk a normal jump (pretty much impossible really).

It’s easy to TK a normal jump, just hold down before doing the motion. This is really useful for some characters. Not for Spencer.

That’s a cool trick. Never thought about that.

Normal jump TK Bomber is more consistent for comboing when trying to do your max damage combo.

I’m new umvc3 and I like using spencer. I’m trying to learn his zip loop but I’m have trouble with the falling .m. When I do get It i miss the j.m that follows. Can anyone offer some advice or tips on doing the zip loop

So ummmm? Whats the most anyones got? Must follow these rules

  • 1 assist only or solo.
  • In corner
  • 1 bar
  • Must start with jump :s: st. :m::h: or cr. :m::h:
  • Characters of any size allowed. But preferably not as big as sent but acceptable.
    My current is 950k only working in corner and on mid sized characters (as in the class size above wolvy with like nova and ghost rider… or like characters that tk up grapple works on)
    Goes a little something like this
    j.:s: :m::h::s: > tk up grapple > bionic bomber > :m::h::s: > tk up grapple > any quick activating otg assist (I like deadpools katanarama) > :s: > tk up grapple > tk :qcf::h: (but down grapple) > :d: :atk:+:s: > :qcf::s: > bionic maneuvers.
    Assists I’ve tried felica, deadpool, wesker work so far.

Edit: Sorry if my combo is crummy I started practicing with spencer for fun like an hour ago and it’s been pretty fun leveling up my combo. I’ve also been trying to get as many tk up grapples in one combo as possible, only 4 so far.

Btw Stark when I do stuff like :m::h::s: up grapple I noticed it doesn’t work on small characters for obvious reasons but one of your combos shows you landing it on wolverine which I can’t manage to do? What am I doing wrong?

On Firebrand, Arthur, Zero, Morrigan, Akuma, Wolverine, and X-23, you can substitute :m: :h: :s: jcc :qcf::h:~:l: with :m: :h: :qcf::h:~:l: to get it to work, and that’s what I do in videos. There doesn’t seem to be a way to get it to hit on Viewtiful Joe or Rocket Raccoon.

Ooooh thank you very much. Gonna help a lot in combos because I’ve been substituting the tk grapple with :qcf::l: and been losing so much damage.

thats truly a training mode only combo because of the damage it does.

if anyone lands the “match viable” version of this combo in a match everyone dies by the second hyper!

at its most universal option it can do 825,100k meterless, but thats including small character types, tack on at minimum one more unscaled vertical grab (80k) for taller/larger characters.

as for the video i do plan on making a team composition video showing what ive learned and what i think are good options with my team (whether in reality good or bad since i dont have much experience,) such as opening options, mixups, resets, random stuff.

Also trying this combo but I’m having trouble getiing the :h: grapple after the cr :h: to connect, keeps whiffing for me…
