CVS2 is newer than 3S so it has a RIGHT to be there! On the jazzy cabs of course, I dont like sitting next to smelly people.

On the pad ports. It is a very good idea. I dont know how tricky something like that is to set up, but Im sure it would get more people playing.
If they replaced XX, I don’t see a reason why I should go to Troc.
It would be stupid if they remove GGXX. Troc’s the only place in London that has a Guilty Gear cab. Here’s hoping they get Slash!

Ok some information for you guys,
First the bad news…
The new machine came in with the standard 3 button virtua fighter layout, but now it has 6buttons. Why is that bad…Unfortunately I wasn`t around to supervise the fitting off the new buttons and they burned the holes in the wrong places fucking up the configuration…again!
The trocadero have done a lot behind my back and have not done anything that I have said or asked them to do, which is what I expected. however I didn`t expect things to move so quick.
They have bought a lot of new machines over the weekend(not just the vs city machine) And have just about every machine from 95 that stills works and out on the floor and taking up space…our space. I dont know if anybody has noticed, but about 3 months ago 1/5 of all the machines in troc were put into storage for some reason and the place started to look really empty, but it seems everything has come back. You cant move in troc today, the place is jam packed with machines. There isn`t any space for us to move the versus city machines to that nice area beside the 4 lane bowling ally. So it looks like the machines are going to be stuck in that shitty corner of trocadero…for a while anyway.
Which sucks I know.
But I will do my best to make a case to get the machines moved out of there.
Yesterday i walked around troc to try and find a good location
to get the machines moved to, but there really isn`t any space in troc with all the new machines and all the old ones talking up space, it will be very hard to convince the troc to give us the location we want.
Fingers crossed that they see our side of things.
Now the good news.
You have all been informed that the trocadero has put a new versus city machine in and yes it does have 3s 
in it and no I dont know if its version A or B.
Sorry i didn`t have time to test that with anybody.
but i was more concerned about the controls and the button config than the version.
On the plus side is the screen is really good and bright and the sound seems to be at the correct level.
The sticks and buttons on the new machine are 50/50. The sticks are not sanwa but are working and should last a few weeks until trocadero can order the new sanwas.
I guess I could start running the ranking battles back at troc anytime now which is good for everybody, am sure people want to see the end of all the console tournaments we have been having for 3s now that the arcade has 2 machines and are willing to do tournaments. But i don`t want to neglect the rest of the arcade just because things are starting to look good for the 3s players.
There is a lot to try and work out, 1 new machine doesnt mean shit in the grand scale of things so i wouldnt get too excited just yet.

Surely a lot of those old machines are never going to make money? Maybe consider saying something like with so many machines there’s no way the money they bring in is going to cover the cost of running them, and they might as well sell the boards off to fund the purchase of other gameS?
Yeah I just got back from troc the button layout on the new machine is pretty ugly lol.
Chunkis yeah deffo start running 3s RB’s there thats wicked, but call them ‘arcade RB’s’ or something tho, because we will still carry on doing the console RB’s to accomodate for pad players/ people who arent too comfortable with arcade etc.
Of course I will be more than happy to help if these arcade tourneys do start happening at troc :karate:
Do you think this might dilute the level of turnout to one or the other? Currently the RBs in Victoria are once every 3 weeks which imo is ideal to ensure a good level of turnout. If you slot the arcade RB in as well this might split the turnout to both rather than increase it for either one.

Good point, but listen we aint sure if tourneys will even happen at troc yet, I am waiting to see what chunkis does as he seems to be the one with management contact.
great cause i guess that mans are making progress but i dont see why there should be x amount of 3s machines or is that the only game in troc that would only have ranking battles or something?
Atb_555 i can understand that virtua striker4 or tennis should be replaced but at the sametime theres many other people who want to play something just a tad different compared to just fighting games.

Two 3s machines is just straight up retarded. Half the 3s players are actually Kof and cvs players playing 3s because they dont have a choice. We need more choice.

On a friday night there is a 20 minute wait to get a go, having two machines is a great idea.
Plus now that there is two 3s machines, we can start running tournaments.

I think he means he is a kof and cvs2 player that only plays 3s because he doesn’t have a choice.
if they had a spare 3s board knocking around anyway then it’s a great idea but If they could have got cvs2 in insted then I think they should have done that.
Is there any chance of them putting some awesome sticks in those cabs?

God knows what’s hard about getting decent sticks. The RRP of a Seimitsu LS-32 is 1200 yen, which is about £6 - the Troc is exactly the kind of place that can order in bulk to make it financially viable to have them shipped. I don’t know the specifics of Sanwa sticks, but it can’t be much more expensive.

are you refering to the 3s cab? if so whats going on? and why would you want to hold a tournie on machines with fucked up buttons and sticks that could be way better? as it stands those machines are inferior to consoles.
