Other news about troc, they got another versus city machine and this time it`s alpha 3.

I asked for cvs2 and they put in alpha 3…I guess the cvs2 players will have to wait.

There was loads of challenges at trocadero tonight, I was very surprised the competition that alpha 3 and vf4 was getting. Both alpha 3 machines got played all night. until about midnight, and 3s was going til 12:30.

One of the 3rd strike machines was broken, one of the sticks came lose inside and there wasnt a technician around to fix it. So that was a bit crap.

Even ryan had to come on alpha 3 and try to blow manz up but it wasn`t there for him…but i showed him a few tactics and jellys and then it was all good. Even chef and hatim played!

So now troc has 7 versus city machines and you know more are on the way.
But there is isn`t any room for more machines just yet, the next step is to try and get the machines we have out of the area.

Alpha 3 is like the best game ever!! wooo hooooo screw cvs2…nah just kidding. Haha the new machine is the best machine in troc right now!!!. Ive noticed that the european/american alpha 3 machine is slower than the japanese one.

When I say slower its slower by just a milli second, but slower!!! I never knew this before today. The thing is on the europe version default speed is speed 2, but on the jap version default is speed 1, so the japanese machine has to be put on to speed 2, to be at the normal speed everybody plays at which is speed 2. but the japanese speed 2 is faster than the European speed 2. Very weird but there you have it lool.

On a more serious note, this doesn`t mean anything.

There is still along way to go and fingers crossed we can get the machines moved.

This is really good news thanks, last time I was there I was pretty disappointed when the guy told me they’d gotten rid of the machine, I presumed he meant that they had sold it. I just hope it’s still there the next time I’m over :sad:

T5’s the most popular game in Troc, considering its on one of the worst cabinets in Troc but still gets the most plays throughout the week not just friday nights.

I’ve never waited more than 10mins for a game in Troc. Even on friday nights.

Good luck if it works out… I seriously think you wont make any money but thats obviously your choice.

Ask half the 3s players what their favourite fighter is and I gurantee they wont say 3s. Hell, I prefer ST to Alpha 3 but there’s no way I’m playing ST on that cabinet.

I’m with sexperienced here. I think you underestimate how popular ST would be if it was in a VS cab. Plus the matches would be shorter meaning people would be spending more money (you hear that Mr.troc?).
why the fuck do we have 2 A3 cabs and 2 3S cabs?

Chunkis on the one hand you say you didn’t ask for them (A3 at least) but on the other you’re trying really hard to justify the decision to put the extra machines in.

also are you saying that there will be no more VS games untill they all get moved? how likely is it that that will ever happen?

They should get rid of Virtua Tennis next to Tekken, cos Virtua Tennis 2 (which is 10x better!) is just on the other side of the floor (near the gun games). They should also move Track and Field near there so it will get more attention cos it usually doesn’t. Oh and that cab to the left of those two with multiple games, should go/be replaced. That way there will be more room for new cabs. We will just have to wait for CvS2 to replace the 2nd Alpha 3 cab.

I was there on Friday last week and I must say that the place certainly looks and feels cleaner. I was only there till 6pm but there were people coming, which is good. I guess its a start we just got to have a bit more patience. I really hope they get the new Guilty Gear. Also hope that they move the non-fighting cabs and get some stand-ups with KOF: XI and NeoGeo Battle Coliseum. Lets just hope!

I haven’t been down there in ages. Back then i was proper hyper & just played on as many games as i could, & my old 8 or 9 year old self says it doesn’t need changing. haven’t been there in ages though, & i don’t know what my current self would say.

Bottom line is we all want new games, not more cabinets with the same games.

I was at Troc yesterday and the place was dead as usual. I went away for half an hour just to see if things would pick up later on but no one turned up.

Here’s a suggestion. Since only a few Troc players are SRK members why not get someone to survey regular players at Troc for a 2 week period between 6-10pm, that way you’ll know exactly what the majority of us want.

It’s true, you won’t be making any more money running 3s tournaments. In fact, you’ll probably be losing money - chances of having a cash prize = minimal.

What the Troc staff REALLy need to do is stop the 3s machines from taking 1 coins. Make it so it can only take 50ps. Allow waiting behind people who pump 1’s in the cabinet.

But yeah, last time I went, 5 or 6 of the machines felt faulty and irresponsive… maybe something needs to be done about that.

SvC has just been put into a new versus city machine.

Another new machine and game,but unfortunately the game is svc…( dont worry this game will be in the bin as soon as i can get to trocadero)

I told them to put in cvs2, but I donno whats happened.

I will go down today and see what I can do.

Problem is, they’re probably going to not like you complaining about that. They probably saw svc and thought “sounds about right”. You’ll probably get all sorts of statements of “Well it’s PRACTICALLY the same thing”, and you’ll just seem like a whiner, and they’ll be less likely to listen to you in future.

Actually you can swap the cvs control panel with the new 3s panel. Just unblock the hard kick and punch buttons and you’ve got the original 3s set-up.

No offence Chunkis but its probably your fault. Did you even give them a list of games you wanted?
