Signups
There is a signup sheet at EBGames. You MUST be on the list by 4:00 PM on the 17th in order to be entered into the tournament.

You may also sign-up by e-mailing me at NIVES@COMBOGODS.COM

SEEDING WILL BE BASED ON THE ORDER OF SIGN-UPS. So sign up earlier for a better seed!

Entrance Fee is $5 for each game. In the event that the player forfeits or is disqualified from a match, or for any other reason is not able to play in the match, the entrance fee is NON-refundable.

Winnings are split as follows.

1st: 70%
2nd: 20%
3rd: 10%

All prizes are given in EBGames gift cards and prizes.

General Rules
No button macros are allowed, no exceptions. This means no PKS for roman cancel in Guilty Gear, no one-button throws in Tekken, etc.
Players must agree upon the stage to be played upon.
Pausing the game at any time will result in the forfeiture of the match (not just one round).

Double Elimination.
Single matches.
Finals will be 3 out of 5 matches.

Game Settings
2/3 rounds.
Time set at 99 seconds.
GGX and GG mode are off.

Rules
No EX/Gold/Shadow characters.
Justice and Kliff are not allowed.
I-No’s boss stage is not allowed.

Settings is on Versus mode, Round time 99 seconds

Rules
NO Gill allowed
Any game breaking glitch that keeps a character from moving at all is banned and can also lead to disqualification.

–Tekken 5–
Format
PS2 US version.
Double Elimination.
Single matches.
Finals will be 3 out of 5.

Game Settings
3/5 rounds.
Time set at 60 seconds.
Guard Damage off.

Rules
No character customization before the match will be allowed.

I tried to send out a mass e-mail, but i went over my limit. Felt like I had to put this out somewhere, so for the members:

Sorry, I just received a bunch of e-mails and IMs about our first general meeting.

Which is going to be postponed for a bit until I get a sufficient room for us to actually play in.

I am currently working on associating SoCom with ACM’s Gamebuilders. We then can have access to Siebel’s facilities.

The last 2 times I sent in a space request, I was rejected. First time was for using a dorm multipurpose room, second time is for siebel space. Reasons for rejection:

(1) Housing space is reserved for cultural organizations or organizations directly related to housing.
(2) Siebel is out of the RSO office’s jurisdiction.

That essentially set me back a week or so. About 2 to 3 days for each space.

So our first general meeting is postponed, but the heads of some of the games have taken the liberty of setting up casuals. If you really want to go to a casual, read on the shoryuken forums.

the tournament’s rule are F*** retarded. I mean, what the hell is wrong with you guys having “single match double elimination…???” do you think that this is japan or something, where they only play on match and that is it??? Don’t you guy realize that if Scott decides to play Eddie the game will be over il a 30 second??? I call it, this tournamen is not gonna last more than 2 hours. and since most of us know each other and each other’s abilities, the GGXX#R is not gonna last very long…
and for this, I should not waste my money; I should not play at this tournament… Jerry, would you mind signing me up for GGXX#R??? I appreciate it.

Well, I played Scott tonight and he owned me as usual… with Johnny. I think he had trouble pulling out Divine Blade, but he still beasted me good.

i vote for us to allow to change chars after losing once (so you can change chars for ur second try in double elim).

keeps stuff fresher and more exciting (cuz ppl have to deal with diff match ups). i dun really think the games we play have counter chars so it shouldn’t really be an issue.
