Dan I will be in Japan for 7 weeks, I probably be in Hiroshima most of the time HIT ( Hiroshima Institute of Technology), but yeah, maybe we could hang out. Danshin said that on the day I arrive there he will be meeting me in Hiroshima because he is going to spend like 3 days there and about 2 weeks in japan over all, so yeah, a bunch of us are going to be there. hope we get to hang out man, and get owned by 12 years old girls… and maybe go Karaoke and fuck some flat chested japanese girls…

so…Marvel, huh? sure, uh huh, oh yeah, awesome game…top-notch. I only have one question:
WHY IS THERE A CAST OF 56 FUCKIN’ CHARACTERS?! WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK THAT IT’S JUST THE GREATEST GAME OF ALL TIME?! AAAAAAAAAAAHH, I FEEL LIKE I’M TAKING CRAZY PILLS!! I mean, seriously, can it really be that fun if there are only, like, 8 playable characters? Doesn’t it bother anyone else that there are 48 – 48, people, c’mon – characters that are almost useless? Yeah, Sean sucks, but that still leaves 17 other fighters. Plus, in a game with, what, 18 characters so what if 1 or 2 of them suck; at least it’s not 6/7’s of the cast!!! When the game came out in the arcades I was all about it – then some-odd years later I realized that I was really pretty freakin’ bad at the game. Even the tourney they just had in Ohio (very good players, by the way) was boring as hell to watch! Sentinel trap, Sentinel trap, Storm shenanigans, Storm shenanigans, and WHOA – who saw this coming: it’s MAGNETO’S INFINITE!!! With both Sentinels dead, the fight takes to the air, and it quickly becomes anyone’s game as Magneto and Storm fly around the screen like they’re both half-retarded. I know that this all proves how uninformed I am about this game, and those of you that play are sitting there like, “Man, this guy’s a fuckin’ asshole! He’s only bitching because he’s garbage at the game!” Well, to that I say piss up a rope; I don’t have to be good to know that I expect more from a game than this tawdry nonsense. No freakin’ wonder the Japanese don’t play it; they probably broke it and dropped it all in a span of, like, 30 minutes. Oh, and on the record, no offense to those that actually enjoy it; uh, keep rockin’…I guess.

3s is the exact same thing. yun/ken/chun fest. how often is it not one of those characters winning a tournament?
most common mvc2 characters:
mag, storm, sent, cable, capcom, psylocke, cyclops, tron
that’s already more than most games.
but there are plenty of other characters that people play competitively;
wolverine, bonerine, rouge, anak, strider, doom, iron man, war machine, blackheart, jugg just to name a few.
high level play is always repetitive. magneto infinite isn’t free. people run away to build up meter all the time in 3s as well. high level mvc2 play is just as interesting as 3s, if not more. mvc2 is a helluva lot faster paced too and these guys have insane execution
