Well either way, he would have worked his way to round of 4 in loser’s, meaning he placed top 8, 7th to be exact, in a standard double elimination bracket. Shouldn’t matter where he lost, so long as he did get 5 wins.

Well i did go 5-2 but i dont think i was around 7th. I won my first two, go sent to loosers by Justin, then won three in a row tell i got peaced out by some chun li.
It was a fun ride though, and I almost beat justins ryu in casuals (they had one arcade machine up for casuals).
Hell who knows, i might have only won 4 but im 100% it was 5. 0_o i was asleep a lot that day o_0

Back from FRX
why the knock on simon?? well this is not my frist tournament where I have seen simon before, I sometimes saw him trash talk and everything in a bad way after playing a 3s game or a GGXX game, so I think unconsiously I may have said to myself that I will humilitate him or something…
but quite frankly I wouldn’t go to the point of calling it “disrespectful” I mean come on now, even if the guy didn’t know me; plus it is not like I tried to shake his hand and backed out at the last momment and then left his hand hang out for the whole tournament. I did leave his hand hanging out for like 2 second and then I tried to shake his hand again. and I even offered him a “HUG” which I think of is more sportmanship then just shaking hands. so don’t go and judge my actions especially while right after doing that, all of you guys were cheering for me saying that he deserved it.
either way it doesn’t matter now, 4 hours after the game, he called next on one of the machine that I was playing on, and I told him that if I lose I wouldn’t get up until he shake my hand, and he actually did shake my hand and smiled:), so it is not like there anymore hard feeling about the awesome incident. ( or at least I hope so).
Other the other hand, FRX, long drive but it was worth it, I mean, I had a lot of fun and I actually got to meet more people then at MWC. I can tell you one thing though, there is a lot of suprises behing the avatars… ( like you think cool avatar == cool guy but no, you sometimes you get a big fat loser who just talks a lot in the forums like he knews his shit, but in game, the guy fucking suck).
I think I placed really far though, I mean father then any other tournament, I beat 4 people out of 64 and I lost to SSJ and Titanium Beast ( he played sol and I couldn’t jump his gun flame for some reason, he got like 6 free combos on me; andy will post the vid hopefully).
the tournament was so slow that between my second and third game I had to way for like 5 hours or something and i couldn’t play casual because I was going to be disqualfied if I did, so by the time I played tit beast, I was bored, didn’t warm up, tired because I barely slept the day before, and I was hungry because I didn’t get to eat at all the whole freaking day…
On the other hand, I got to play AC guys that game is fucking awesome, order-sol’s force break was so cool… so much range and ground bounce on counter hit… I couldn’t believe that he had so much range. I won like 10 time in a row… fucking awesome…

I mean seriously 10 hours isn’t as bad and I though, personally I barely talked to Andy and and james unless we are playing games so I though it would have been awkward you know, but it ended up being just fine, specially on the way back, I did drive from tenesse to champaign which was like 5 hours but you know we talked at lot about the tournament, the games, the people over there, I didn’t even see the time fly…
so Scott I don’t know what experience you had at OHIO (maybe getting drunk and stuff) but I had a great time driving, and I will definitively will be up for another trip…
Seriously the only bad thing in my opinion was the gas price. 80$ holy shit… I understand that there were only 3 of us but 80$… next time we should have more people come down with us.

Yeah, 10 hours really isnt bad at all when you got things to talk about and you are sleepy. Next time a more economy car wouldnt hurt as well as more people to split gas costs but seriously, going to this was worth every penny.
I’ve driven 12 hours before (to Gulf Shores, Alabama) and it’s just the least fun thing EVER. I’d be so burned out from driving that I wouldn’t feel like doing anything other than sleeping.

dude it is not that bad, I don’t know who you went with during the 12 hours of drive, but I am pretty sure you didn’t talk about thing that interested you the whole time and you probably didn’t sleep in the car. I did both and it was a very cool time.
