So, I officially have my team in MVC: Wesker(gun)/Strange(nutsack)/Nova(divekick). I’ve got some basic stuff for each of them, and I have a decent idea of how to make them function as a team. That said, I think it’s time I give KoF another shot. I’ve always - ALWAYS - wanted to learn how to play KoF, and I think XIII is the one. Everything about this game is supremely appealing to me – gameplay, mechanics, graphics…everything. I think I could understand it much better than I can MVC. Don’t get me wrong, I’m loving Ultimate. But I feel my brain isn’t wired properly for Marvel. 
I get how and why it’s played the way it is at high-level, but I, personally, can only handle it at a casual level. KoF, despite being a 3v3 format, is still just 1-on-1 at it’s core. That’s much easier for my brain to grasp onto than literally controlling 3 characters at once.
Plus, Lorance has all but snail-mailed me his jizz-covered pants over XIII. :bluu: Seriously, I feel like my safety depends on playing it. If not, I might wake up one night to Lorance standing over me holding a gun in one hand and a copy of the game in the other. lol But, I gotta tell ya… I think the lad is onto something.

The netcode is complete ass. Worse than vanilla MvC3 type ass.
Both of those ruined any hype I had for that game.

because the netcode is complete ass I have no reason to get the game simply because so few around here would actually play it much

Well, a little while ago, I asked about the netcode that KOF13 was using. Some netcode I’ve never heard of called GSS. Guess I now know never to play a fighting game online with GSS netcode. LOL.
BTW, I heard that UMVC3 had improved netcode over Vanilla MVC3. What is any of you guys’ experience with it?
its better but not by a ton
you can definitely learn stuff online now and it tells you the connection before a match so usually 4-5 bars = ok.
Still its kinda laggy but it feels easier to land combos.
I think it’s much better. Of course you still have lag issues with certain connections, but I’ve played people with good internet in Florida and California and it’s felt great with no noticeable lag. Also played Keits, who I lagged with terribly in vanilla, and we had a great connection the other day on UMvC3.
hmm with the little game time i’ve had on UMvC3 im thinking my team is going to be Zero(dont fucking matter)/Wesker(gun)/R.R.(pendulum). Pendulum is a damn good assist especially when you start adding in ports shit gets stupid.

Lol im not trolling. Its seriously one of the best in the game. Staggered fireballs free.

James isnt lying. The fireballs arent a true block string so they can be used as bait and frame traps, plus they have high durability for an assist. Very good for teleports also. Its an extremely good assist.
