so is this event replacing MWC or will that still be happening?
This event is replacing MWC as the chicago pre-evo major (as it did last year, even though it was called MWC2010, it was still my tournament), but DreamTR may still run something of his own using the MWC name wherever he chooses to (be that his home arcade in Tennessee or elsewhere, its totally out of my hands). I just want Chicago, and the midwest, to get the pre-evo major they deserve, so even if the name has to change, we get everyone together in Chicago for that fight money.

Good stuff. I’m looking forward to brackets. My only complaint with the venue that is not being addressed is the fact that they will still have sleep number beds. Those things suck I have no clue what my Perfect sleep number is.

Hell yea. Also, can we know if the internet will be available. I got an ear full from my girlfriend because she could not get online from the room.
That was because it was being used for the stream that weekend.
Ive been assured that our dedicated line for the stream will NOT affect the guest’s internet access. It wasnt supposed to last year, but shit happened and it was our last ditch emergency fix for the stream situation.

I agree with that entirely; the least we can do to appreciate the effort Shinji puts into his cabinet and bringing it to suburb events is to honor him with an EX tourney.
