Oh there was another post that was more to the point on reprinting the back ups. Darn job where my boss sits right behind me and I can only sneak in and out of SRK otherwise I’d go find it, Alt, Shift, Tab is my best friend…
Lot’s of nice stuff. Akuma posters, portfolios, the hardcover collection. Sucks I won’t be able to get it all. I wish UDON didn’t make their coolest stuff for conventions-only. But hey, I don’t have to buy it. Life goes on.
Hi Leo Sal!
did you check Club Udon?
We’re making these products available for you if you cant make it to the con.
There were a couple of people on this board, and off the board,
who requested for this. I hope it helps with your collection. :wgrin:
Oh, and did I mention that the Ultimate Edition is the biggest book we have ever done!?!
Its even bigger than ETERNAL CHALLENGE!!! 450 pages of comic goodness.
FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTY FREAKIN PAGES!!!
NO ADS!!!
I hear ya… and I’m on it. I’m going to make a little section with mini pics of
Alvin’s Set 2 portfolio and Joe Ng’s Set 1 portfolio.
Kinda hard to release a hardcover with everything collected when everything isn’t out, don’t you think?
Lots of people “wait for the trade” now, so getting out that mini trade after the first arc or 6 issues, or whatever is essential so you can tap that market.
I don’t get any “piss taken out of” because I buy the single issues and don’t really care that much about the alternate covers or the powerfoils unless I’m at a con and I really really really like the powerfoil and the artist is sitting right there to sign it.
Let the collectors collect that stuff.
They can release as many super ultra mega uncut combo additions they want, I don’t have to buy them.
Still…Udon has nothing on Aspen comics.
Some nice stuff for the SDCC. Eventually one day in the many years to come, I’ll have enough money to plan a trip from the UK just to attend one of these. The UK Cons don’t seem to be anywhere near as exclusive as these.
The cover for the Ultimate Edition hardcover looks awesome, so awesome that its already my cellphone wallpaper. SFDevotion, any chance of uploading a larger image of the Ultimate Edition cover of “RYU” somewhere for us, please? I can only find an incredibly low res version over on the Diamond Site. Thanks, man.
You guys have fun at your Comic Con, now
I’m not sure what you need the image for, but I’m sure in due time
the picture will be available on google. I will be having a
"Cover Archive" when Street Fighter Devotion 2.0 is completed.
When that will be… you’ll have to wait and see. But give it time,
I’m sure the Ryu cover art will become available online sooner or later.
Nothing much, just wanted it as wallpaper (PC and cellphone) since its such a nice “godly” image of Ryu.
Look forward to seeing SFD 2.0 and thanks for your fast response, man. Good luck at SDCC.
SHIN SHOOORYUKEN!!! There you go!
Go to the UDON SDCC 06 page and click on the picture of the Portfolio!
I posted samples of BOTH Alvin’s set 2 and Joe’s set 1!

Thanks for the suggestion Matrixdub!
I also like having larger, high quality images. I would have thought the reason why would have been obvious: because we are all art fans. Not everyone is going to be able to purchase the Ultimate Edition.
A couple of questions about the Hard Cover Ultimate Edition: Will it be sold for $80 at the SDCC as well? Or is it just more expensive online? Will it include any new never before seen art, or is it in essence only a compilation?
Lastly I want to add that I also don’t believe Time Stop should have been banned. He has provided positive contributions in the past and his posts aren’t meant to deliberately bash Udon Comics; I believe they are his true opinions and I have agreed with points he has made in the past. Much worse has been said before by other members without any repercussions (Cammy T-Rex thread). And the fact that other moderators gave you the nod for his banning doesn’t make it right. Hitler had many supporters as well.
Also, thanks for adding the preview for the Alvin Lee sketchbook; I am a huge fan of his work and it is always great to see more, especially if it is Street Fighter related.
SFD,
I think someone else asked, but any chance those of us who can’t go to SDCC can get a “bust-sketch” for ordering the summer sketchbook or something? I wouldn’t even mind the extra cost. I bought one of Alvin Lee’s sketches on clubudon a while ago, and I would love some others.
How about a preorder for people attending the con, reducing the time in line and time handling cash/checks/creditcards…
I too would -LOVE- to be able to get a bust-sketch with purchase of the sketchbook. I’d KILL for an Alvin Lee sketch of Gen… (I wonder if there’ll be any in the portfolio…?)
Thanks SO much! Phew-I was about to buy the Joe set but now I see it wasn’t street fighter!
2 more questions:
Am I correct in saying that you can ONLY get the Ryu and Sakura wall posters at the con?
And Am I correct in saying that Chen’s lithographs will ONLY be signed if you buy them from the Con; NOT if you buy them online?
Thanks!
Edit: And do the Summer Sketchbooks have art inside (like a mini portfolio) or is it blank for our own sketches?
Here’s the stuff I just ordered, Paypal is so fast -
Street Fighter THE ULTIMATE EDITION Signed 1 $80.00 USD
UDON Summer Sketchbook 2006 Edition Signed 1 $15.00 USD
Alvin Lee Art Portfolio II - Signed 1 $50.00 USD
Joe Ng Art Portfolio - Signed 1 $50.00 USD
Chun-Li Convention Print Signed 1 $20.00 USD
Sakura Convention Print Signed 1 $20.00 USD
It came out to $235 in total, pricey but worth it with all the goodies! The posters I’ll get them later on when they hit the stores, I get most of my orders delivered to my job and I don’t want to be bothered carrying posters home, weither or not it will rain one day and things like that. Thanks for the offer SFD, can’t wait until I get my stuff!
Ryu and Sakura will be hitting stores that ordered them, they’re just making their debut at the Con.
See what Udon have done? They’ve driven sano crazy with online-shopping-fever.
The Ultimate Edition will be sold for 80 at the con. Just about everything in the
Ultimate Edition has been seen before other than its cover. The real question is…
have you actually SEEN everything? We threw in EVERY SINGLE POSSIBLE THING
that was in the Street Fighter arc, including the New Type Magazine special and
the super-rare GamePro special. Not only that, we included EVERY SINGLE COVER
(except for the Fan Appreciation one which had… uh… no cover), ALL the CheapShots
and even the character sketches found in Issue 0!
Actually… I lied… I didnt include EVERYTHING… I left out all the ads. hehe
trips for being corney
No promises, but its a possibility. We had Alvin, Omar and many more of our artists
do some sketches which we sold on the Club during the New York Comicon.
However, I say “no promises” because this is San Diego. Chances are they may
not have time to do any extra sketches for the Club. We’ll just have to wait and see!
Unfortunately, we cannot control the line-ups at SDCC. Plus… commooooon…
the line-ups are part of the whole con experience! I remember when I visited
UDON for the first time at a con, I lined up for the loooongest time to get a
sketch by Omar Dogan! Boy was it worth it. I’m staring at my Lilith pic right now…
I actually really like the idea. “MAYBE” we can impliment this idea for a future con.
Check out the Portfolio Preview on our UDON SDCC 06 webpage.

a) well, whatever floats-your-boat. Joe Ng is one of, and possibly THE BEST Transformers artists
I’ve ever seen. You know what… I’m gonna have to go with THE BEST. Man, they should hire
him to do some prop sketches for the upcoming movie…
b) yikhai is right on the ball. The Ryu and Sakura door posters will also be available in stores.
c) If you attend the con, the Lithographs aren’t already signed. You have the opportunity
to go up to Jo Chen herself and ask her to sign it. So you are correct, if you purchase them
online they will not be signed.
d) The Summer Sketchbook is filled with artwork from various artists. The very first page has
a blank space because, as a Con Special, you will get a free sketch by one of our available
artists of any character of your choice (please provide reference if its not a character we are
familiar with drawing). I can’t stress enough… and I’m telling you this from the FAN side of
the table… so imagine just for a second that I dont work with Udon…
YOU HAVE TO GET THIS SKETCHBOOK! There are pics in here that you WILL
WANT TO SEE. These pics are gonna be the talk of the town. I dont want to ruin the surprise,
but I KNOW… as a FAN… that most of you will FLIP when you see whats in here.
Lol! It was the same thing last year with the two Shinkiro and Ikeno SF Eternal Challenge covers. Actually, last year was much worse for me because with the SDCC SF stuff and buying all of Stick-Clicks Arcadia issues I spent about $500 bucks, ack! I thank the heavens that for some reason I hate Star Trek otherwise I’d be living in a card board box right now…
It’s Just that I won’t be able to make the Con, and I would like to buy them online but I don’t see an “add to cart” button for them… Can they be ordered online like the Gouki poster?
Thanks! I’m really like the Ultimate Edition and I’m glad I’ll be able to get a hardcover and the other stuff.
BTW, I always wondered about the characters sketches from SF#0… why didn’t you guys do the rest of the cast? And why haven’t DS, RS and Exalted gotten the same treatment.
I own at least one of everything from the first two arcs with the exception of the issue #1 wall poster, the street jam poster scroll, Eternal Challenge books, the Sagat/Ryu cover for the summer special, and the mini sized comics that came with the Udon controllers that sold at Blockbuster. I did get the exclusive TPB there though :). Does the Ultimate Edition come with the Eternal Challenge covers and the Sagat/Ryu cover? Also wondering if it comes with the video game covers Udon did for the Capcom Fighting Jam games. I know these as well as the Eternal Challenge books are not directly comic related, but the art is so I thought I would ask just in case, even if it is a stretch.
I think I may try to get a friend to get me the Ultimate Edition and just pick it up from her next time I am in Cali. I have always wanted to see the comic in larger print and to have it all together hardcover TPB style would be awesome.
